FUTURE SIMPLE / FUTURE “BE GOING TO”/ PRESENT CONTINUOUS

1. FUTURE SIMPLE
A. GENERAL PREDICTIONS ABOUT THE FUTURE AND OPINIONS
Example:
-I don’t think we will win the match this year
-This year (it) won’t be a Good year for the economy.
B. SPONTANEOUS DECISION AT THE TIME OF SPEAKING
Example:
-I will check if we have some milk in the fridge.
C. OFFERS AND PROMISES
Example:
-Let me help you. I will carry the bags home.
D. FUTURE SCHEDULED EVENTS
Example:
-Classes (they) will start next Monday.
2. FUTURE WITH “BE GOING TO “ ** El “to be” se tiene que conjugar con el sujeto de la frase: I AM going to +
main verb / He IS going to + main verb.
A. PLANS AND INTENTIONS
Example:
-Next summer we are going to travel to Greece. ( Ya está decidido)
B. PREDICTIONS BASED ON EVIDENCE
Example:
-The weather forecast says that it is going to snow in Madrid today.( basado en
evidencias)
3. PRESENT CONTINUOUS FOR FUTURE
A. PRESENT USED FOR FUTURE ARRANGEMENTS ( We already saw this with the
Present Tenses).
Example:
- I am visiting my sister today ( ya he quedado con ella)
** Este uso ya lo vimos con los tiempos en Presente!!
