microwave in electric utilities presentation (widescreen)johnbuna
The document discusses the evolution of microwave networks in electric utilities over four waves from the 1940s to present day. The first wave involved experimental voice grade circuits in the 1940s-1960s. The second wave from the 1970s-1980s expanded to low-medium capacity analog systems still using voice grade channels. The third wave in the 1990s-2008 involved digital microwave and migration to IP networks using T1 and SONET. The current fourth wave since the mid-2000s involves converting from T1/SONET to fully IP-based systems using Layer 3 transport protocols like OSPF and MPLS. Typical electric cooperative networks can be small, with nodes requiring low bandwidth mainly for SCADA, security, and
The documents summarize bell ringer assignments from an Earth and Environmental Science class. The assignments covered topics like the chemical formula of water, phases of matter, cloud formation, and mountain weather patterns. Students were asked to define terms, describe diagrams, write paragraphs summarizing concepts, and identify types of cloud images. The documents provide examples of daily warm-up questions, responses, and brief lectures on various environmental science topics.
The document summarizes Community Media Workshop, a nonprofit organization founded in 1989 that provides training and resources to over 2,000 nonprofit communicators per year with a $700,000 budget. It lists the board members and awards received, describes their mission to diversify voices in the news and projects like e-notes, NPCommunicator, and Community Media Summit. It also shows registration sources for workshops and quotes Seth Godin about using new tools to support organizational change rather than just existing structures.
This document discusses the importance of crafting effective stories and messages for audiences. It emphasizes that facts alone are meaningless, and people understand new information based on what they already know and believe. As such, organizations should develop two core stories: who they are and why they exist. The document also provides guidance on crafting elevator speeches that succinctly introduce an organization in under a minute by focusing on the problem being addressed, the organization's solution, and the benefits provided.
The document provides guidance on effective communication strategies to promote an organization called the Alliance for Research in Chicago Communities (ARCC). It emphasizes using stories and metaphors to engage audiences and convey key messages in concise elevator speeches. The document outlines determining goals, target audiences, and crafting compelling messages that highlight what's in it for others (WIFM) to learn about and support an organization's work.
The document provides instructions for an assignment related to an augmented reality learning event taking place in Livadia, Greece. Participants are asked to walk around and experience augmented reality. The location and name of the event are given to provide context for the assignment.

inserisce contenuti aventi diversi formati e tipologie: siti come

6. WEB 3.0 - “THE NETWORK IS THE COMPUTER”
WEB 3.0
supporti server precaricati
in modo automatico. Un documento può essere categorizzato
come pubblico o privato e quindi essere reso indicizzabile e
visibile dall’esterno o meno
portatili, cellulari, smart-phones, palmari)

Kathryn O'Reilly is a freelance editor who sells her ability to gather, filter and
prioritize electronic content. In a virtual world built on contextualized
information spaces, Kathryn seamlessly switches between geographic and
semantic topologies. She begins her typical working day floating in the virtual
space above Earth, ready to navigate the globe and semantic structures via
subtle movements of her eyes.
An extensive portfolio of add-on functionality is accessible through optic devices.
From her elevated position, Kathryn not only observes the rise and decay of
topics, but also the unfolding of social structures based on the unique social
networks of her friends and business contacts.
Across these networks she builds and shares her knowledge repository and
composes media products that are continuously being validated and enriched by
the latest news feeds and third-party sources.
The underlying content management system tailors the format of her articles to
the changing preferences of her regular readers. Kathryn
adds, selects, categorizes, aggregates, filters and extrapolates information along
multiple dimensions, with minimal cognitive requirements.
She can structure her daily workflows, access archives of historic textual and
multimedial data and customize her virtual environment. Adaptive
communication services allow her to interact with predefined or dinamically
assembled groups of like-minded individuals…

20. TIPS AND TRICKS
approfondimento
