Ford and Microsoft are teaming up to implement Microsoft's Hohm energy management application for Ford's electric vehicles, starting with the Focus Electric next year. Hohm will help owners determine the most efficient and affordable times to recharge their electric vehicles. It will also help utility companies manage the increased demands on the electrical grid from electric vehicles. The Focus Electric will be the first Ford vehicle to use the Microsoft Hohm application through a joint solution from Ford and Microsoft.
