GENERAL POSITION DESCRIPTION (NOT ALL INCLUSIVE)
FORCE MASTER CHIEF
Commander, Navy Reserve Force
Billet Description: The Navy Reserve Force Master Chief (FORCM) is
the senior enlisted advisor to the Chief of Navy Reserve (CNR). The
individual reports to the Chief of Navy Reserve/Commander, Navy
Reserve Force and is his principal advisor in all matters of interest
to Navy particularly with regard to programs and policy impacting
enlisted personnel.
Billet Requirements: The individual must be a well-rounded, post-tour
Command Master Chief, who has successfully completed at least one
CMDCM tour. The individual must be able to write and brief at the
senior executive level and initiate, coordinate and manage Quality of
Life and professional and personal development projects that have
Navy-wide impact.
Major Duties:
- Assist the Chief of Navy Reserve on any and all matters of interest
to the Department of the Navy
- Maintain and promote effectiveness and efficiency of the Navy
- Assist and advise the Chief of Navy Reserve in all matters
concerning the welfare, health, job satisfaction, morale, use, and
training of enlisted personnel to promote traditional standards of
good order and discipline
- Advise the Chief of Navy Reserve on formulation and implementation
of changes in policy impacting enlisted personnel
- Attend meetings as directed by the Chief of Navy Reserve, Deputy
Chief of Navy Reserve, or Executive Assistant to keep apprised of
current issues while providing a Navy-wide enlisted perspective
