In this presentation I outline the why, what, how of developing a vision for the future as a key step in major change initiatives.

Free tools your nonprofit can use to fundraise, grow your brand, and build capacity. Making ends meet within the nonprofit sector can be a challenge, so come learn free shortcuts for organization and management.
A memorable logo is important. However, a brand is so much more than a logo. It's more than just visual identification or the way your business card is printed.
A brand is the emotion behind what someone feels, sees, and says when they interact with your organization on any level. Therefore a brand bears much more responsibility than a logo.
In this presentation we'll explain what this means so you will never looking at branding the same way again. You'll learn from leaders in the field and walk away understanding why your brand affects everything you do and say from now on.

The global service design conference 2018 - Creative leadership: The qualitie...Lina Nilsson
I wanted to help creative professionals who are so passionate about the work they do, but are not always prepared for the leadership role that they find themselves in.
I created this deck which outline my research findings on what qualities teams wish their creative leaders had. The aim was to create guidelines for those who transition from managing their own work to leading teams. The good thing is that we can learn the qualities of an awesome creative leader, and the framework in this deck can guide individuals on how they need to adapt their behaviour.
These slides were shared with the audience during the Service Design Global Conference in Dublin.
A Guide to Nonprofit Strategic Planning Bloomerang
Imagine how history might have changed if Martin Luther King, Jr. had said, “I have a strategic plan”, instead of his famous words, “I have a dream”. What are your organization’s dreams for the future? On the practical side, are you worried about the future? What are the critical issues you face? Have you taken the time to think big and think real about where your organization will be in one year, three years, five years? Does your nonprofit have a shared vision and a roadmap for getting there?
Participants will learn key elements in a successful strategic planning process:
being inclusive and proactive in engaging stakeholders
building consensus and “ownership”
making data-driven decisions
ensuring measurability and accountability
being future-focused
You’ll also see how the process worked for one community college and how college stakeholders engage in reviewing, modifying, and updating the plan each year.
Millennial Board is a global community of insightful young professionals. We help executives to challenge the unchallengeable to find pathways for new growth.
Many entrepreneurs – social, triple bottom line or otherwise – do not avail themselves of all potential capital sources when seeking funding to grow or scale, limiting prospects to cash flow their initiatives. This seminar explores a range of options for funding: external in the marketplace, internal within an organization, new ideas and classics not to overlook.
The kind of culture in your firm is reflected in both your employees’ work environment and in your clients’ experience. Learn more about building an office that they (and you) will enjoy coming in to, day after day.

Vertical Development Ideas into Action: The RISE Approach to Leadership Development at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Nonprofits today are faced with unprecedented challenges, and yet we continue to approach board leadership using concepts from thirty years ago. As our organizations enter into new territory, so our boards need to lead differently - yet we continue to put our efforts into getting the structure 'right'. But there is no magical number of board members or committees, or use of Robert's Rules of Order or Consent agendas, that will transform our boards into the strategic thinkers or powerful decision makers they need to be. Instead, structure must be seen as only the foundation - and board behavior and dynamics approached in a new way - to lead effectively into the future.
“With great power comes great responsibility”
Taking responsibility is the first step towards leadership. One cannot exist without the other. Effective leaders do not manage people, instead they inspire, coach and enable the people they work with. Experience the difference with People-centric leadership as you put ‘people’ first in people management.
This presentation is used in interactive sessions that help managers with people responsibilities to honestly explore their leadership skills and equip them with the building blocks required to practice people-centric leadership. It’s time we shift our focus back on the people who make our teams and the organization a success story.

Mentoring the next Generation of Community Designers garrjacobs
This is a preentation Garrett Jacobs gave at the Association for Community Design conference in June 2017. You'll find data about the volunteers signing up, some ways people receive mentorship in the OAC. and questions we discussed to advance the mentorship program development.
"What's your day like?" "What do you do everyday?" "What's your job exactly, as startup CEO?" - These are questions I was frequently asked this year by both our new hires, startup founders I had the privilege to mentor through various programs, and during interviews.
If I was asked this question a couple years ago, my answer would definitely be "everything" - same as any early stage startup CEO. But as of 2021, our team at Arincare almost doubled in size, now serving 2,500+ users, and growing 3X revenue, to get there my job has changed a lot. So I think it's good to stop and give it some thoughts about my role and responsibilities as CEO and how it has evolved over the year - all in a deck. Hope it can benefit a larger audience, or at least I can use it to give a clearer answer to our new hires. :)

Using Social Media To Grow Your PracticeRod Burkert
After ten years of practicing out of a home office in Philadelphia, the presenter now lives, works, and travels full time in a RV. How does he market and sell his services? Social media.
Now you don’t have to live in an RV to take advantage of social media. But it is fast becoming the best way for FVS professionals to build prospect relationships in a business environment where geography and time zone barriers have fallen. And just like in face-to-face marketing, personal connection is the key to landing new work when using social media: to succeed, your interactions must convey your expertise, credibility, and a hint of personality. Watch this session if you want to arm yourself with the “secret sauce” of social media marketing that can jumpstart, or expand, your BVFLS practice on platforms like LinkedIn, Google+, and Twitter.

How to increase your impact on the enterprise.
Enterprise Designers face a difficult task. Understanding what needs to change and designing those changes is difficult enough. Getting the enterprise to collaborate with you, adopt your designs and implement them in the way you intended is often even harder. You need to get people to trust you, to value your work and your advice and to get as enthusiastic about your ideas and designs as you are yourself. Just delivering great designs is not enough; only through the power of influence will those great designs have a chance to have the impact you desire.
The patterns in this section outline major steps to establish and grow your influence and impact as an Enterprise Designer. This is a continuous process that takes time and constant attention.
These patterns will show you: – The importance of having a personal enterprise vision; – How to build coalitions and get executive buy-in; – How to clarify and align the enterprise vision into a compelling shared vision for all co-creators; – How to set up a safe negotiation space where co-creators feel comfortable to exchange ideas and collaborate; – The importance of clear ownership and enterprise-wide alignment of change initiatives; – When to decide to leave.

Best practices for project execution and deliveryCLIVE MINCHIN
A select set of project management best practices to keep your project on-track, on-cost and aligned to scope. Many firms have don't have the necessary skills, diligence, methods and oversight of their projects; this leads to slippage, higher costs and longer timeframes. Often firms have a history of projects that simply failed to move the needle. These best practices will help your firm avoid these pitfalls but they require fortitude to apply.

Adani SEBI investigation revealed that the latter had sought information from five foreign jurisdictions concerning the holdings of the firm’s foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) in relation to the alleged violations of the MPS Regulations. Nevertheless, the economic interest of the twelve FPIs based in tax haven jurisdictions still needs to be determined. The Adani Group firms classed these FPIs as public shareholders. According to Hindenburg, FPIs were used to get around regulatory standards.

Understanding User Needs and Satisfying ThemAggregage
https://www.productmanagementtoday.com/frs/26903918/understanding-user-needs-and-satisfying-them
We know we want to create products which our customers find to be valuable. Whether we label it as customer-centric or product-led depends on how long we've been doing product management. There are three challenges we face when doing this. The obvious challenge is figuring out what our users need; the non-obvious challenges are in creating a shared understanding of those needs and in sensing if what we're doing is meeting those needs.
In this webinar, we won't focus on the research methods for discovering user-needs. We will focus on synthesis of the needs we discover, communication and alignment tools, and how we operationalize addressing those needs.
Industry expert Scott Sehlhorst will:
• Introduce a taxonomy for user goals with real world examples
• Present the Onion Diagram, a tool for contextualizing task-level goals
• Illustrate how customer journey maps capture activity-level and task-level goals
• Demonstrate the best approach to selection and prioritization of user-goals to address
• Highlight the crucial benchmarks, observable changes, in ensuring fulfillment of customer needs

When leaders communicate an inspiring and exciting vision of the future, they increase the chances of a successful change effort/initiative/innovation/product launch by at least 40% if not more.
