The cashew is a tough nut to crack.
Kalyani use steam to soften its hard
shell and make it easier to open. This
step also removes the cashew oil.

The cashew are in different
size so this machine doing
different grade so cashew cut
easily.
3)SHELLING
Time to free our cashew kernels
from their shells! Keeping them
intact while shelling is a tricky
business. That is why we have
different shelling lines, with blades
designed for specific cashew sizes.
Below their outer shell, cashew
kernels have a strong skin which
protects them from the oil in the
shell. W
e heat and dry the shelled
cashews, to detach them from their
skin.
Finally!W
e see the nut that was in
the skin all along. Our high-speed
sorters help us separate the quality
nuts from the ones with defects due
to, for instance, insects.
With the cashew kernels loose in
their skin, they’re ready to be
peeled. Our machines handle most
of this task, although there are
alwayssome laggards which we
then peel manually.

•They negotiate to get the material had best quality and at low price and then they give the order to the supplier.
•The supplier needs to deliver the order as per the dates provided
•It also depicts the need to deliver the material within two days to the department.

•To reduce order cost, Kalyani cashew order the raw material in quantity when the price is low.
•By this the price of raw material is affected and the final price of the product is also affected.
•If the supplier is old or known, then the advance is given (50%) and rest (50%) is given after delivery

It was a matter of big pleasure and joy acquiring the valuable experience to undertaking the practice in kalyani
cashew. This unit has provide the best of opportunities for good and useful experience for my study. With the
objective to gain practical knowledge and experience in the company and to study the activity of different
functional area.
It was good experience at kalyani cashew studying about the different department.
During my training. I found that this company is in strong position. The relation between staff and owner are
looking better. There is good co-ordination and confidence.

  • 16. CASHEW PROCESSING SYSTEM 1) STEAMING The cashew is a tough nut to crack. Kalyani use steam to soften its hard shell and make it easier to open. This step also removes the cashew oil. 2) RA W GRADING The cashew are in different size so this machine doing different grade so cashew cut easily. 3)SHELLING Time to free our cashew kernels from their shells! Keeping them intact while shelling is a tricky business. That is why we have different shelling lines, with blades designed for specific cashew sizes.

Finally!W e see the nut that was in the skin all along. Our high-speed sorters help us separate the quality nuts from the ones with defects due to, for instance, insects. With the cashew kernels loose in their skin, they’re ready to be peeled.
