2. A student enrolled in Semester 3 of MMS
program shall have to undergo Summer Training
of not lesser than 8 weeks in a company of their
own choice.
By enrolling themselves into those company for
stipulated time, they need to study the
department of their chosen specialization and
then preparing comprehensive report using
survey, group discussion, employee feedback,
structured questionnaire, and any other tool of
research.
3. By Undertaking training in institutional setup
gives professional touch and learning of real-
world operations to the students.
An attempt is made here to bridge the gap
between Academia and Industry.
Students may do research in the company
concerned and, they would perform the duties
assigned by the organisation.
4. After completion of Semester-2 during
Summer vacation.
It will be equivalent to One Subject of
Semester 3.
Evaluation of this report shall be part of the
student’s SGPA which will be reflected in the
marksheet of Sem-3.
5. Each student should undergo a summer
training project and prepare the said report .
Student will choose the sector of his / her
own choice and will pick the companies
belonging to that sector and will study overall
working of the department of their
chosen/preferred specialization for Semester
3 in that company.
6. Student shall have to undergo a research
exercise as well using various data collection
techniques like Survey, Questionnaire,
Experimentation, Focus Group Discussion,
Observation and any other such technique(s).
College should allocate faculties for each
student to guide them in the whole process.
7. This study will purely be ‘ Sectoral cum
Research Study’ by nature wherein students
will learn functioning of the companies by
studying departments like Production,
Operations, marketing , finance, accounting,
sales, personnel, HR, Health, Safety, Quality
Assurance, and others in that sector and by
undertaking small research.
At the end of Summer Training, they will have
to prepare and submit Hard Copy of Report to
the college.
8. If hard copy of the report is not submitted the
student will not get credit for the subject and
will be considered “FAIL” and will have ATKT
in Sem-3 of MMS.
A college can instruct such students to
prepare this report during ongoing Semester
3 and can earn the credit in the marksheet of
Semester 3 as by filling the examination form
again (As ATKT student).
9. Summer report shall be prepared only by
those students who have got their term
granted in Semester 3.
