Star Wars Trilogy
Star Wars is a global phenomenon that brings fun, adventure and excitement to millions of fans
worldwide. With the release of the three movies of the prequel trilogy a whole new set of
characters and adventures were introduced to the Star Wars fandom. Characters like Obi Wan
Kenobi, JarJar Binks, Padme Admidala introduced a new generation to the battle for control of
the galaxy between the suporters of the Peaceful Galactic Republic and the evil Galactic Empire.
To celebrate the new films in the legendary franchise LEGO released a wide range of building sets
based of scenes, characters, and events of the movies. For those who love star wars, especially
episodes I, II, and III these sets are a great way to bring the action to life in your own home
regardless of your age.
There are a great many prequel trilogy building sets to be enjoyed including perhaps one that
celebrates what is arguable the most important moment in all of the first three movies, when good
Jedi knight Anakin Skywalker finally succumbs to the power of the dark side to gain the power to
protect his wife Padme and their unborn children. In his rage he is gravly injured and to save his
life the emperor uses advanced technology to turn him into the evil Sith Lord Darth Vader. At that
moment, the events of the original trilogy of movies. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The set comes packages in a full color box which makes a great addition to any display case
presentation for true LEGO or Star Wars collectors. The stated age range is 6 years and older but as
with most LEGO collectible sets age is nothing but a number, adult fans will enjoy this set as
much as kids and it will look great alongside other LEGO Star Wars Sets on a shelf or in a

The Pros And Cons Of Assault Weapons
A new Quinnipiac survey released this week found that there is a strong opposition to ban military
style assault weapons. Among those who oppose the ban are the millennials, The Guardian reported.
Experts believe that the youth favoring the assault weapons may have something to do with the
popularity of first person shooter video games such as Call of Duty. They also cited the increasing
prominence of military style guns in the market.
Majority support ban
While half of millennials are on the pro gun stand, a large majority of Americans back the ban on
the sale of assault weapons. Including the AR 15 style rifles which is the preferred weapon of mass
shooters. Breitbart, a pro Republican publication, pointed out that many of those who are against
the ban were not old enough to vote when the push for the ban happened in the aftermath of the
Sandy Hook Elementary School attack. When the ban expired in 2004,l some of them were still
toddlers.
Other than the millennials, Republicans and registered voters in the 18 34 age bracket are
against the assault weapon ban. But 70 percent of voters over 50 support the ban. An even higher
77 percent from the age group 65 and above are in favor of the ban. The survey was made after the
Texas church attack in October when 59 people were shot and killed.
There is apparently no striking age divide in the poll, David Yamane, a sociologist at the Wake
Forest University in North Carolina, said.
Congress has not renewed the previous federal ban

Language On The Summative Assessment
For the common assessment I chose, the students were reviewing all of the topics they learned
over the past week. The topics included: fractions, elapsed time, and multiplication and division.
Some of the language on the summative assessment included: How many whole numbers are in
the fraction and plot 5/4 on a number line. In order to do the review, students had to read the
worksheet, so they had to use their literacy skills. There was content development because it was a
review of what they students had learn as a result from being in my small group for that week.
B) Provide a graphic (table or chart) or narrative that summarizes the class/group s learning for the
common assessment.
Overall, there was improvement in the group s learning. The majority of them only missed one
question, and that was only because the question was worded awkwardly. They did, however, have
trouble on the multiplication word problem because it asked them for remainders, and I do not think
they have learned about remainders yet.
As shown above in the chart, only one student received the highest percent. This does not mean that
the other students did not show growth, it only means that there was one problem that the students
did not understand. In this case, the problem that the three students missed was the problem that I
worded wrong and explained wrong.
C) Use the class/group summary you provided in prompt 1b to analyze the patterns of language,
literacy, and content learning for the

The Marshmallow Effect
Marshmallow Effect Scientists often attribute adaptive and goal directed human behavior to an
intellectual control system that organizes, monitors, and alters the settings of lower level
perceptive processes. This allows people to suppress or replace impulsive, habitual, or
inappropriate actions. The Marshmallow Effect is an experiment conducted by psychologist Walter
Mischel in the 1970 s to study self control in children (Walter, 2013). This experiment is a simple
but effective when it comes to the modern study of the human ability to delay gratification. The
studies are about achievement situations and what influences a child to reach his or her choice.
The ability to delay gratification has commonly been seen in large part as an issue... Show more

Metastasis Term Paper
Metastasis is a hallmark of caner and leading to reduced survival rates of cancer patients. The
ability of a cancer cell to undergo migration and invasion allows it to change position within the
tissues. Metastasis consists of five steps which are termed the metastatic cascade (Fig. 1). These
five steps of cascade are invasion and migration, intravastion, circulation, extravasation,
Colonization, proliferation and angiogenesis. Various cellular processes like de regulated cell
growth, loss of cell cell adhesion, migration through the underlying interstitial stroma, altered
survival signaling which support metastatic spread, therapy resistance and unrestricted tumor
growth, facilitate these five step of metastatic cascade. Massive metastatic... Show more content on

The factors limiting the growth of malignant neoplasm include the basal membrane and various
components of the surrounding stroma, increased interstitial pressure, limited oxygen supply to
tumor cells and the formation of active oxygen forms, hypoxia conditions, and permanent exposure
to immune system cells. Given the intra tumoral heterogeneity, in the struggle for survival, some
tumor cells may be subjected to regression and death, while other cells, which resist powerful,
counteracting micro environmental factors, gain an aggressive phenotype and the ability of
metastatic progression. Invasive tumor growth is enabled by the detachment of malignant cells
from the tumor mass due to a reduction in or complete loss of intercellular adhesion molecules,
and, therefore, the cells gain the ability of anomalously high motility enabling penetration through

Just In Time Systems Essay
Devising an efficient system of counting and maintaining a stock of inventory items has long been
an arduous task for many business owners. The old method of cataloging by part or item number
has all but disappeared since the proliferation of electronic catalogs and the use of computer
software and web based ordering/monitoring systems. Inventory management is necessary for
ownerswho want to maintain a stocking service for quick turnaroundto help ensure total customer
satisfaction. An item on a managed inventory list must be maintained to avoid shortagesof
frequently used items. Even when utilizing an inventory management system, occasional shortages

An efficient and effective system helps lead to a cost efficient operation and a high degree of
customer satisfaction.
Next, the focus of many industries today is shifting towards more and more automation and
reliance on computers. The World Wide Web has altered the way companies and individuals
interact with each other. What was once thousands of miles away or days in the future can now be
obtained instantly with the click of a mouse button. That being said, the Just In Time system is one
of the many ways companies can manage their inventory. This type of system can only exist
through the use of automation and many advances in technology. The purpose and goal of this
type of system is to eliminate wasted inventory and remain extremely flexible to the ever changing
business environment (Reid Ch 7, 2002). The idea is to take a much broader view of operations
where inventory is not only controlled by managers but also by the salesmen and sometimes even
the consumer himself. J I T management strives to eliminate wasted time and money spent in
unnecessary material handling and overstocked shelves. By allowing the consumer to drive the
inventory a company can simplify the entire process and decrease mistakes.
This type of system is only possible through the use of technology, automation, and flexibility. This
must come from the company providing the product or service and all of the suppliers that are
involved in the process. Further, J I T inventory

The Morphology Of Species Of Snakes
The term morphology refers to a division of biology that looks at the forms of living organisms
and the relationships between them and their physical structures. In terms of morphology, snakes
are quite interesting, especially when it comes to venomous snakes of Kansas. Here, we will
describe snakes, their structure, what they eat, how often, reproduction, habitat and other
interesting facts about snakes in general. Then, we will examine closely venomous snakes that
are indigenous to Kansas. Snakes are elongated, flexible, and limbless reptiles from the suborder
Serpentes. There are approximately 2,900 different species of snakes. There are around 700
different species of venomous snakes and 250 of these are able to kill a human with a single bite.
Snakeare generally carnivorous. They eat various items such as termites, birds, eggs, mice,
rabbits, and other reptiles/mammals. Snakes do not chew their prey; they swallow it whole and
their moveable maxillary allows them to swallow large prey three times the size of their heads.
They have rear facing teeth which helps them keep their prey captive until they can swallow it.
Some venomous snakes will inject their prey with venom while constricting snakes will squeeze
the breath from their prey until they die. Snakes do not need to hunt food every day because they
only eat once or twice per week. Large snakes such as anacondas and pythons can survive for up to
an entire year without food. Mostly snakes hunt at

The Divine Timeless Eternity Theory Essay
The divine timeless eternity theory is the traditional view pertaining to God and time, but it is by
no means the only theory, as there are at least four. My original intention was to compare two
views in relation to this topic, however, the complexity of the dialogue has proven difficult.
Therefore, I will discuss one theory in depth since I believe it will suffice. In this framework, I
will discuss the challenges and varying beliefs with the ideas involved. The goal of my paper is to
understand the doctrine of eternityand find how this changes my understanding of God. Then I will
discuss how this issue influences my approach to God, and to my ministry. First, however, I will
explain the need to uncover the idea of eternalism. We will now proceed.
Why might one explore the idea of how God functions in time? It is extremely difficult to ignore
questions after they have been asked. Historically, questions have been the cause of councils and
creeds that now exist as essential dogmas of the Christian faith. Without questioning, what is real
and what actually exists? The difference can only be distinguished by those who question. While it
might not be explicitly stated, the idea of eternalism is biblical. The theology of the trinity was a
similar idea, where no single passage gives enough evidence to a triune God, but with a proper
understanding of the biblical narrative, there is enough truth to discover such a characteristic of
God s nature. In congruence of this thought,

In the 2014 book, The Israeli Solution: A One State Plan for Peace in the Middle East, Caroline B.
Glick, an American Israeli journalist and author, examines Israeli administration of the contested
territories known as Judea and Samaria also know as the West Bank since the 1967 Arab Israeli war.
Glick s work criticises the current state of Israeli policy regarding the administration of the territory,
posits a policy recommendation, and discusses challenges in implementing such a method. By
appealing to human rights, and Jewish legal and historical rights, Glick suggests that Israel annex

The first premise essentially accuses the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) to have
grossly inflated the number of Arabs living in Judea and Samaria. The strategic inflation of
population is comparable to the PA Ministry of Health that had strategically inflated causality
rates in the past (see Operation Protective Shield in 2002). The objective her would be to gain
political capital, as well as to demonstrate to Israeli policy makers that the annexation of Judea
and Samaria would destroy the sensitive Jewish majority of the State of Israel. According to the
research conducted by the American Israeli group, the PCBS had inflated the Arab population of
Judea and Samaria to 2.42 million. In contrast, the AIDRG concluded that only 1.41 million Arabs
lived in Judea and Samaria. Here, Glick argues that the fact that 1.01 million fewer Arabs lived in
Judea and Samaria means that Israeli annexation would not mean the end of the demographic
integrity of the Jewish State. If the 1.41 million all became Israeli citizens, Israel s Jewish
population would still have a в…”

The Effects Of Social Oppression
Throughout our history as a nation, individuals with disabilities have been viewed in many ways.
Most were held to a very negative perspective for many years and some are held to that same
perspective to this day. Unfortunately, the portion of our population that live with a physical or
mental disability have had to deal with inequality and oppression. So, why does this unjust
treatment or perspectives of these individuals continue to happen? What can our society do to
change it?
By definition, a perspective is a particular attitude toward or a way of regarding something; a
point of view (Oxford Dictionaries), therefore everyone has a perspective toward every aspect of
their life and everyone or everything in their life. While there may ... Show more content on

Paul Dodenhoff wrote an article titles Five Faces of Oppression and in the article he uses Iris
Marion Young s concept that stated the five elements were oppression, exploitation,
marginalization, cultural imperialism, and violence (Dodenhoff, 2016). From this article, there can
be a new point of view gained on the idea that our culture has created its own hierarchies of
superiority and inferiority (Dodenhoff, 2016). While this system is primarily unspoken, it still
exists when you look at it from the stand point that there is the upper class, middle class, and lower
class, in addition to the brains, the jocks, the populars, and the disabled. In the online article Higher
Education and Disability, the author discusses that there is a current trend that allows individuals
with disabilities to be views as accepted and valued instead of negatively seen as a special group
(Leake Stodden, 2014, 399). In this same article they state, This is a matter of concern in view of
the widespread understanding in higher education that students who feel socially accepted are
more likely to persist and graduate than those who do not, (Leake Stodden, 2014, 403). However,
many individuals continue to treat the disabled unjustly because they are seen as the most inferior
if the classes, but who are we to judge

Some teachers say that they have had the dream of being a teacher their entire life. I on the other

The Components Of Social Conflict And Social Identity Theory
Tal classifies this mechanism as sociopsychological infrastructure. It manifests in collective
memory, the ethos of conflict and collective emotional orientation (p.1430). These are the
mechanism that distinguishes one group from another. Hence the collective memory, the ethos of
conflict and collective emotional orientation are what member of a group share, against the other .
A classic case of we against them. The question of how these operate from an individual s point of
view becomes imperative.
Social Identity Theory
Tajfel Turner, (1979) the proponents of social identitytheory helped in the understanding of
intergroup relations. Their focus was on the complex interweaving of an individual or interpersonal
behavior with contextual social processes of intergroup conflict (p.276). social identity theory,
therefore emphasizes intergroup relations (relationship of an individual has with his group and
between an outgroup) and categorical distinction (what sets an individual apart from another
outgroup) . Korostelina describes this as the processes of identification with other group members
(p.23). Personal identities are consequently reflected in an individual s social identity. For instance,
an individual with an Islamic conviction cannot be found in a church on a Sunday. Social identity
theory holds that individuals establish who they are and the group they belong, basically because
there is one form of similarity or another hence, by categorization,

he tried to ignore it, Harry couldn t help but remain curious over Petunia s peculiar anxiety.
Lying awake in bed, he listened. The house was quiet for the longest time, aside from the low
hum of the television. Then, Harry heard the phone ring. Petunia must ve jumped up suddenly,
because he heard her chair scrape against the floor. Petunia hissed into the phone urgently.
Swiftly slinking out of bed, Harry carefully opened his door. Edging along the hallway, he

Positive Impact Of Higher Education On Education
Individual
There are many individuals now studying at higher education institutions, such as university, and
benefitting both financially and health wise. The increased wage and job opportunities afforded
to university and college graduates are one of the positive impacts that higher education
provides individuals. A report by Baum, Ma Payea (2013) finds that on average those who
complete a college degree earn on average 14% more than those who have completed study at a
high school level. It is also reported that unemployment rates are 1.6 to 7.1% lower in those who
study at a college level or higher in comparison to those who only have high school level education.
With higher wages and better access to job opportunities, the standard of living for individuals with
higher education is improved and with this comes benefits such as more money to invest in not only
their own individual interests, but also into local communities. In comparison, however, the study
by Stokes Wright (2011) suggests that the cost of higher education in Australia does not support
students decisions to study, saying that the cost of fees are often higher than the benefits they are
likely to receive from studying at university.
The study by Baum, Ma Payea (2013) also reported that those individuals who completed college
education benefitted health wise. These health benefits arose from lower smoking rates, lower
levels of obesity and higher levels of exercise in college graduates. This view was

Essay On The Conch Shell In Lord Of The Flies
A group of young British boys is stranded on an island with little to no supplies, besides a silly
shell, and a fire to keep their hope alive. In William Golding s Lord of the Flies, a group of British
boys were shot out of an airplane and landed on a strange island, all separated from each other. It is
a very interesting novelwhich includes a series of intense and sad events that all play a part in
leading the group of boys to their rescue off of the island. The group of boys has also come across
multiple items which represent a larger and influential idea towards the reader. The fire, conch, and
the specs which belong to Piggy. The symbolic conch shell in Lord of the Flies evolved its meaning
throughout the novel seeing that it first represented order, became power, and ultimately a loss of
civilizationthrough the course of the book.
To begin, throughout the beginning of Lord of the Flies, the conch shell becomes a symbol of
order and unity. After their tragic plane crash, one element that brought the boys together was the
conch shell. One of the main characters, Ralph, used the conch shell to call anyone else who is
on the island, which resulted in the other boys being found and a tribe being formed. When Ralph
was voted chief, he started to create rules that were based around the conch. Ralph picked up the
conch and began to explain the rules, And another thing. We can t have everybody talking at once.

Japan And Its Effects On Japan
Japan unlike many other countries has thrived on globalization. Japanese companies have
investments all over the world, Japan exports modern technology such as new and innovative
vehicles, and Japan s people tourist in many iconic places outside of their country. But at the same
time, globalization is hurting Japan. Globalization in Japan has led the country into issues with
pollution. An overflow of waste incinerationsites and construction, and also the butchery of
Whales. These matters have steered Japan into harming its environment. Japan owns 70% of the
world s waste incinerators which come with the main benefit of being able to burn garbage
instead of having it piled up in dumps. With this intention, it poses threats to anybody nearby the
facilities because they re so many. Additionally, Japan has only given the public very vague or
unsatisfactory reasons for their slaughter of Whales such as using very broad terms like science
and ineffectual arguments like tradition. This killing is putting the Whales species in very dire
danger. Not to mention that the vast amount of construction taking place in Japan in years could
lead the way to deforestation if it hasn t already. At the same time, Japan has its reasons for using
so many waste incinerators, massacring Whales, and to assemble buildings over and over so much.
Waste incinerators provide hot water, electricity, and material for construction. As stated already,

A Brief Look at a Legionnaire s Equipment
A brief look at a legionnaire s equipment
Very few empires throughout history have rivaled the resplendence and sheer size of the Roman
Empire at its peak. The height of the empire was achieved in the year 117 ad with a size of 6.5
million sq. km. One of the defining factors that allowed the romans to have such successful
conquests and to maintain such a large empire is the standardization of equipment that its troops
had to abide by. The quality of the equipment was another factor that played a role in their success.
Roman weaponry
Each roman soldier was fitted with similar equipment, the primary weapon of each was their
Gladius they also had a Pugio for their spare weapon. Depending on the era they would have had 6
plumbata s clipped to the inside of their shield or Pilum on their back for throwing.
A Gladius is a short sword ranging from 50 to 60 cm long. Gladii were double edged with a
sharp point for thrusting, making them very versatile weapons. Their hilts were composed of
bone or hardwood usually and knobbed to increase the soldiers grip on the weapon. In combat
soldiers primarily used their weapons for stabbing at stomach height, but could inflict grisly
injury s as a slashing weapon as well. The Gladius was used for many years before finally being
replaced towards the end of the Roman Empire by the Spatha.
During the later years of the Roman Empire the Gladius was replaced with the Spatha. A Spatha

Money Laundering
In todays world there are so many different ways to commit a crime. You might not even realize it,
that it could be a family member or even a really close friend committing these crimes. I am talking
about a white collard crime called Money laundering. Have you ever wondered what Money
laundering really is? With this research paper, you will get a chance to finally learn what it
really is all about. You will get an inside look into Money laundering. From their we will learn
about the types of people that commit this type of crime and why. Then we will look into how
they ended up getting caught. After that we will take a look into all the cases against the people
and corporations that were caught red handed laundering money. Now that I have caught you re
your attention, you are probably thinking to yourself; What is Money laundering? Money
laundering is a term that refers to the activities and financial transactions that are undertaken
specifically to hide the true source of the money (IRS.GOV) that you have received. This is
usually happening when you are receiving your money illegally and trying to show that you are
receiving the money from actual business type situations. A great example would be a drug dealer
receiving all of his money from selling drugs and then turning around and saying he is receiving the
money from a fake storefront or even from construction. When in reality they do not

In Cold Blood
Truman Capote s non fiction novel, In Cold Blood, was a breakthrough in literacy in that it was
accredited as the first non fiction novel. There was a lot of controversy when the book was first
published because of the incredibility of the work. This could be expected in that time, because
people where not familiar with the concept of non fiction novels yet, but this is where the beauty
of this style of writing lies, the recreation of the truth. It would have been impossible for Capote to
have documented the occurrence fully, because he only read about the murder after it had happen,
after all, this was not what he wanted to do. Capote got a lot of criticism for the book, because of
him bending the truth, putting in scenes that never... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The true art of the non fiction novel is the missing information that is filled in by the author.
Capote does a good job of recreating what had happened before the murders took place. He had a
subjective view of Holcomb in the introduction, but he describes it skillfully, trying to bring out
the contrast of the quiet small town and the events that were going to take place there. With the
extensive research that was done by Capote, he could formulate a good picture of what had
happened before the murder. He uses a technique where he splits the story in two, and then
moving from one scene with the Clutter family, too the murderers, Dick and Perry and then later
between the murderers and the investigating detectives. This allows the reader to constantly be
aware of what was taking place and when it had happened. Capote also uses it to create more
suspense in the story, leaving you after every scene wanting to know more. Capote used a third
person, omniscient point of view in writing the non fiction novel. This allowed him to convey the
thoughts of some of the characters, allowing the reader to be inside the characters mind,
experiencing the emotional reality of each scene. This is what makes it a non fiction novel, the
story that was formed by adding little bits of information created by the

Deductive and Inductive Reasoning
Deductive and inductive reasoning A deductive argument tends to work from the generalized to
the more specific. It often referred to as a top down approach informally. The conclusions that
are made in deductive argument follow logically from the facts that are available. A deductive
approach can be taken on the statement traditional publishing has been rendered unnecessary by
the rise of digital publication. Electrical publishing which is also referred to as ePublishing or
digital publishing involves the publication of e books, electronic articles, digital libraries and
EPUBS. It is becoming a common trend to distribute books, newspapers and even magazines
directly to readers through tablet reading devices. This has been generated by vendors who operate
online like Apple iTunes bookstore and books in the android market among others. Market
researchers have made suggestions that most of the magazines and newspapers that will be in
circulation will be done through digital means by 2015(Sader, 2004). Most of the publishing
companies are also considering making agreements with these electronic publishing networks like
Apple so that they can increase the publications through them and eventually no more traditional
publishing will be done (Rothchild, I. 2006). From the look at the general trend in publishing that
most people and firms are taking as depicted above, it is safe to take the deductive conclusion that

The Face Of Face Communications
In the past twenty years, the face to face communications as well as the ways of communication
have changed. With the creation of numerous devices, applications, and an unbelievable
connection with each other, the biggest distances have been shortened in ways never imagined.
Two decades ago, people could not imagine how effective and fast a device of the size of the
palm of your hand could connect you with people all over the world. With great ideas and a
mentality of progress, humans and technology have changed the way we interact and how we
used to see the world. These changes have helped to create a more capable society which is able
to do things we once thought they were impossible, but it also has had a negative impact in the way
we behave.
Within the communication world, the evolution of the telephone is the biggest attraction for people
of all ages. In the past, landlines were the main source of communication, while cellphones were
uncommon, or actually inexistent. We have come from telephones which only capability was to
call, to smartphones that have calling, texting, emailing, and different social networks that connect
you with people world widely; and all this is in one simple device that is every time smaller and

Essay on Chronic Renal Failure
Introduction Every human body contains one pair of kidneys. They are situated towards the back
of the body under the ribs, just at the level of the waist, with one on each side of the body. Each
kidney is composed of about one million units called nephrons, and each nephron consists of two
parts: a filter, called the glomerulus and a tubule leading out from the nephrons (Cameron 1999).
According to Marshall and Bangert (2008), the kidneys have three major functions: firstly, the
kidneys excrete waste from plasma in the blood. Secondly, they maintain extracellular fluid volume
and composition. Lastly, the kidneys play a role in hormone synthesis. There are many diseases
that might infect the kidneys and affect their... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, when the kidneys stop working completely, the situation known as end stage renal failure
(ESRF) occurs in CRF. Some diseases may cause CRF when patients are infected for a long time.
Diabetes Mellitus One of the diseases that can cause CRF is diabetes mellitus, a major cause of
renal failure. This disease can be defined as an increase in fasting blood glucose as a result of a
deficiency in insulin, which is a hormone. The normal range for glucose (fasting) in the blood is
2.8 6.0 mmol/L. Diabetes Mellitus is classified into two groups: type 1 (insulin dependent) and type
2 (non insulin dependent). The difference between them is that, in type 1, the body does not
produce enough insulin, but in type 2 the body does not make effective use of this hormone. Stein
(2008, p. 6) points out that kidney failure most often occurs when patients have suffered from
diabetes mellitus for more than 10 years. According to a report by the U.S. Renal Data System
(USRDS) in 2007, the cause of approximately 44% of renal failure in 2005 was diabetes mellitus.
Stein (2008) also indicates that 15% of dialysis patients are influenced by diabetes mellitus in the
United Kingdom. Diabetes mellitus has negative effects on the kidneys, where the increase in range
of blood sugar causes damage to kidney cells, in particular the nephrons. This can

Ethical Surrogates
Surrogacy occurs when another women carries a child for a couple, who for a particular reason
are not able to carry a biological child themselves (Kerridge, Lowe, Stewart, 2013, p. 493 494).
The child may be genetically linked to the surrogate or gustatory where there is no genetic link to
the child (Kerridge et al, 2013, p. 493 494). Infertile couples should be allowed to use surrogates in
order to have a child, although the laws and regulations need to be closely monitored and potential
surrogates need to be aware of the moral and ethical problems they may encounter throughout the
process. Surrogacycan be a magical and beautiful gift, yet there are many problems, which arise

427). Surrogacy is often compared to child selling, although human life is not measurable in a
monetary figure (Steinbock, 1988, p. 427). The baby m case provides a greater insight into
these 2 objections, which Steinbock further discusses. In the baby m case the surrogate was paid
to be impregnated and carry the child, this is where laws and regulations need to be strongly
monitored, as the contract never stated turnover of the child meaning the surrogate fulfilled her
contractual agreement if she did not provide the child to the parents (Steinbock, 1988, p. 427).
The courts found that the payment made to the surrogate to turn the child over was prohibited
(Steinbock, 1988, p. 427). The baby m case was a complicated and a good example of a
surrogacy agreement, which went wrong. This case shows that governments need to enforce
stricter laws and regulations regarding surrogacy to ensure there is no confusion and no child
selling. Steinbock (1988) suggests that rather than be paid for giving up the child that surrogates
instead are paid for anything involving the pregnancy such as medical expenses which will then
allow the process to been seen a another form of adoption as the child is not being purchased (p.
428). There are not many women who would endure pregnancy with the ultimate outcome to be

Yankton County, South Dakota would also be proper for personal jurisdictionbeings that the
accident did take place in Yankton County. According to the State Bar of South Dakota the Circuit
Courts of Yankton County, South Dakota is also proper for subject matter jurisdiction; circuit
courts hear civil lawsuit cases, divorce cases, adoptions, guardianships, felony, and criminal
proceedings. This particular case falls under a civil case.
According to the civil procedures in the State of South Dakota, the parties to this law suit would
be Sue Davis as plaintiff, because she is the party whom has commenced the law suit action and
claims to have incurred losses due to the defendant s actions. She will be the one who will deliver
the summons to the defendant, Gary Steele. Gary Steele would be identified as the defendant,
because Sue is taking action against him for the accident.
CONCLUSION
Our client appears to have a solid case, but there are steps that we should take to better position our
client for litigation.

Being A Slave Worthy Of Manhood
Being a Slave Worthy of Manhood In the narrative The Life of Frederick Douglass, it is clear
that Douglas had a very strong option about the differences between men. He did not seem to
have the common out look in the differences between free men and slave, but rather something
deeper. He believed that a slave with out hope or drive for a better life was not a true man, but
that a true man was someone who was able to respect himself and become someone worthy of
respect from others. Throughout, the story of Fredrick Douglass there seems to be many
turning points in his journey to becoming what be defined as a man. Douglass seems to believe
that even those men that enslaved him are not true men, but that man who was enslaved could
become true men by gaining respect and working to better their lot everyday whether enslaved
or free. In the beginning of Frederick Douglass s life he was sent to the city to work for a master
there. Here Frederick Douglass shows many attributes of a strong growing intelligent man. He
shows great respect for himself and even makes strives to better himself as a strong man. He
starts by learning his letters from any place in which he is able and even teaches himself how to
read. He seems to respect not only himself, but also the boys around him that help him to learn
and be the man he was. These are the first examples of true positive men in his life. He never
gives a name to these boys but it is clear the respect he holds for them and the gratitude

all they got in life. Make A Wish grew so rapidly because of this, that they were making tens of
thousands of wishes come true each year.
Now that we have covered the full history of Make A Wish let s move on to general facts of
Make A Wish. To be eligible you must be referred by someone treating the child, a parent or legal
guardian, or the children themselves if they are of age. The average cost of granting a wish is
$10,130. Make A Wish pays for the full experience including costs of travel because they believe
that the parents have enough financial worries. The way Make A Wish makes money for all of
this is from mainly donations and foundation grants. This means that normal every day citizens
are funding these wishes and could be giving a dying kid their last wish which I think is special.
There have been numerous celebrities and stars that participate in Make A Wish. John cena holds
the record for Make A Wish at over 500 wishes. Justin Bieber has participated in over 200 wishes

Beach Room Analysis
When designing a coastal inspired bedroom for a client, I typically begin with a palette of both
color and texture that is truly reflective of the coastal feel and the client. Here in Southern
California, the coastal areas are rich and varied, with colors like blue, green, creme, grey and
even yellow and orange, as well as textures like sand, sea grass, reeds and driftwood. Coastal
interiors are hands down my favorite interiors to design as there is such a wide variety of
elements, colors and textures available to re imagine and infuse into the home and I do prefer to
use the power of suggestion when designing a coastal home, rather than a literal or kitschy
interpretation.

Any room that is lighter is also generally perceived as being more open, spacious and, generally,
happy! If considering use of some of the darker coastal colors, like grey or green, keep them as
accent colors or use in just one area to reduce the impact on the light, flowing feeling typical in a
coastal inspired room.
When considering wall color, use a tone of soft white or a light tone of an actual color. White will
help move light around the room, whether it s from a natural source like a window, or from a
light fixture. A light tone of a color will provide a similar effect. If you want to make the room
darker, this can always be accomplished through drapery, however I have found it best to have the
option to go from light to dark through the simple pull on a drapery panel.
Using stripes is another way to keep the eye moving and infuse a space with a familiar coastal
design element. Using stripes on the walls or drapery will help make any space look larger by
drawing the eye up and into the space, also contributing to the open, spacious feeling.
Keeping these tips in mind will not only help you begin designing a coastal inspired bedroom, it
will help you create a retreat you can enjoy for many years to

What Is D-Day In Canada
Juno was the landing area for the 3rd Canadian Division. The division was to assault the coast
through a line of small resort towns from Graye Sur Mer to St Aubin (Neillands Norman, 232).
There were different names for different sectors of the invasion. There was Mike Red and Mike
Green to the west side, and Nan Red , Nan Green , and Nan White to the east (Neillands Norman,
233). Landing on the beach there was the Royal Winnipeg Rifles, the Regina Rifle Regiment, the
Canadian Scottish Regiment, the Queen s Own Rifles of Canada, the French Canadian Regiment

added to their score. When both sides get to 20, the side that gains a 2 point lead wins. When
both sides reach 29, the side that gets to 30 first wins. Single rule: When the person serving has
an odd score, they serve from the left; an even score they serve from the right. In singles, when a
rally is won, the person who served wins the point then serves from the other service court. If the
person who did not serve wins the rally, they win the point and then get to serve.A badminton court

Starry Night, Strong Sense Of Comfort, And A Deep Sleep...
Chloe Studyvin Mr. Bergmann Sophomore Honors P6 October 10 2016 Dreamland Starry
night, strong sense of comfort, and a deep sleep creates the perfect formula for a sensational
dream. Many people know that they have dreams, even if they do not remember them. Yet, a
scarce amount of people know how, when, and why dreams actually occur. This same concept is
true for deja vu. Many individuals wonder, what are dreams? How do dreams relate to deja vu?
If so, how is it possible for dreams to predict the future? All these questions will be ceased.
Despite some people s beliefs, dejavu comes from dreams. A dream is a series of thoughts,
images, and sensations in a person s mind during sleep. But what exactly occurs in these
imaginative episodes? Is it a pathway to another realm? Another galaxy? Actually, dreams are
controlled by neurotransmitters. Neurotransmitters determines whether we are awake or whether
we are asleep, sort of like a switch (American Sleep Association). In dreams, there are actually
multiple sleep stages (Withings). These sleep stages are all called neurotic rapid eye movement,
or NREM. In fact, dreams do not even occur until the fourth and final NREM stage. The first stage
is the lightest stage of sleep. This stage makes it effortless to fall in and out of slumber. Stage one
is also the shortest in duration in comparison to the other phases, lasting approximately about 1 10
minutes. During this period, your heart rate becomes steady

Executive Order 12898
The prevalence of environmental issues in the public awareness reached a point where
government was forced to take action in 1979. When Henry Love abandoned construction of a
canal in New York in 1920, the site was bought by Hooker Chemical and used as a toxic
chemical waste dumping site for the next 33 years (Schons 2011). Then in 1953 Hooker
Chemical sold the Love Canal to the school board, and construction of a school began. In the mid
to late 1970s, when children s shoes began melting to the ground and children got sick the
residents organized and protested. Media coverage increased and showed toxic black sludge oozing
into people s basements (Schons 2011). The lack of awareness of environmental and health
consequences of chemical dumping... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It was the first environmental justice action taken on a federal level, and it ordered that all federal
agencies, programs, and activities be equal in their benefit or protection (Clinton 1994). It further
requires the mission all federal agencies include addressing environmental justice (Clinton 1994).
The order also established an Interagency Working Group on Environmental Justice (Bernier, C. J.
2013). Executive Order 12898 was intended to ensure the full implementation and to supplement the
National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 promoting environmental justice awareness in all US
environmental policy. It was also designed to supplement already existing law prohibiting
discrimination of any kind in programs receiving funding from the federal government, and extends
the same protections from discrimination established in the Civil Rights Act of 1964 to one s
health and community being afforded the same protection from pollution and effects of exposure to
toxic material (Clinton

Destiny Summary Essay
Destiny and what it offers:
With Destiny reaching its 1 year anniversary soon, the game went through many changes that
have improved since launch, but is it worth buying before The Taken King expansion is
released? I took a very long break from Destiny due to it lacking in what most games have for
$60, which is content. Destiny had released an Alpha Beta prior to its original launch giving
players an idea of what the game is and how it would be played. The biggest innovation that
Bungie wanted to utilize in Destiny was the social aspect, having players communicate and meeting
to do Raids, Strikes and other activities for players to enjoy and accomplish. As so many of you
know that have played Destiny, know that these things that were promised ... Show more content on

Pricing and what specific content will be available doesn t give people any comfortability due to
the fact that you won t know what you re getting unless you either do a lot of research or you just
buy it and Destiny is no exception to this. Destiny offers two expansions called The Dark Below
I and House of Wolves II, they both contain content that give Destiny players their grinding fix,
but are both expansions actually worth getting? Yes and it s not for a good reason either.
Destiny is a $60 (at the time, now $30) retail game that should offer content that will make
players feel as if the $60 was worth spending in the long run and ultimately Destiny was not
worth that amount of money during the original release. It lacked content and didn t give
players what was offered. The story or lack of story can only be understood if you go to your
Bungie.net account and read the Grimmoire. It is a great read as it provides a better background
for the lore of Destiny and the characters, along with enemies, as it explains the major plot holes in
the game. It s a wasted resource, but it is perfect for those that would want to spend time reading

Cause And Effect Of Hurricane Katrina
Nature has thrashed the earth long before humans came to be. Volcanic eruptions, tornadoes, and
hurricanes are by far some of the most destructive and devastating occurrences on the face of the
planet. To illustrate, Hurricane Katrina came upon United States land in August of 2005. The states
of Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Mississippi, and of course Louisiana(CNN Library, 2014) took a hard
beating as Hurricane Katrinas winds sustained at 155 miles per hour alongside a storm surge over
twenty feet high (National Geographic, 2005). New Orleans, Louisiana, averaging between one
and two feet below sea level in elevation (Google, n.d.), experienced the full force of Hurricane
Katrina as the hurricane s center arced toward the city. Levees were in place to hinder the influx
of ocean waters, yet could not stay strong as Hurricane Katrina pounded against the barriers. The
hurricane approached the Gulf Region as a category 5 and made landfall as a category 3
hurricane (History.com Staff, 2009). When the hurricane passed twelve hours later, all that was
left was destruction. New Orleans was the city to be dealt the most damage. Over eighty percent
of the city was left underwater from Hurricane Katrina (Nguyen, 2007). About seventy percent of
occupied housing was taken by the hurricane (CNN Library, 2014). The population of New
Orleans dropped from 484,674 in April of 2000 to 230,172 in July of 2006 (CNN Library, 2014).
The hurricane s total damages were estimated at about 125

Essay on Napoleon at Waterloo
The battle of Waterloo is universally associated with the last stand of Napoleon. It is (for all
intents and purposes) the most significant blow to Napoleons final attempt at a return to power,
Napoleons loss sealed his fate and consequently lost his empire (once and for all). However was
it truly Napoleon s faults that resulted in the loss at Waterloo? Or as many have stated was it more
accurately Marshal Ney s inability to follow Napoleons orders and command his troops in a custom
that Napoleon not only expected but had spent years refining. Before the battle of Waterloo
Napoleon ordered 30 000 troops under the command of Marshal Grouchy to separate from the main
force, splitting off in order to (in theory) catch and eliminate the... Show more content on

Marshal Ney made a threefold of mistakes; Firstly Ney noticed that a portion of British troops
appeared to be retreating over the ridge in the center of Wellington s army, seeing this as an
opportunity, Ney dispatched his remaining cavalry and makes a series of cavalry charges against
Wellington s forces on the ridge ... but there are many problems with this charge ... the British
forms into squares ... making it very difficult of the cavalry to charge through ... . Marshal Ney s
First mistake is seen in the exemption of ordering infantry attacks along with his cavalry, this
though a forgivable mistake was compounded once his other mistakes are made. Infantry and
cavalry are so often used in tandem precisely because when cavalry attacks infantry alone, the
infantry has only to form strategic squares and the cavalry is easily repelled, this however the
formation of squares is easily prevented with the use of infantry, rows of infantry can easily shoot
down a square with little to no

  • 3. The Pros And Cons Of Assault Weapons A new Quinnipiac survey released this week found that there is a strong opposition to ban military style assault weapons. Among those who oppose the ban are the millennials, The Guardian reported. Experts believe that the youth favoring the assault weapons may have something to do with the popularity of first person shooter video games such as Call of Duty. They also cited the increasing prominence of military style guns in the market. Majority support ban While half of millennials are on the pro gun stand, a large majority of Americans back the ban on the sale of assault weapons. Including the AR 15 style rifles which is the preferred weapon of mass shooters. Breitbart, a pro Republican publication, pointed out that many of those who are against the ban were not old enough to vote when the push for the ban happened in the aftermath of the Sandy Hook Elementary School attack. When the ban expired in 2004,l some of them were still toddlers. Other than the millennials, Republicans and registered voters in the 18 34 age bracket are against the assault weapon ban. But 70 percent of voters over 50 support the ban. An even higher 77 percent from the age group 65 and above are in favor of the ban. The survey was made after the Texas church attack in October when 59 people were shot and killed. There is apparently no striking age divide in the poll, David Yamane, a sociologist at the Wake Forest University in North Carolina, said. Congress has not renewed the previous federal ban ... • 4. Language On The Summative Assessment For the common assessment I chose, the students were reviewing all of the topics they learned over the past week. The topics included: fractions, elapsed time, and multiplication and division. Some of the language on the summative assessment included: How many whole numbers are in the fraction and plot 5/4 on a number line. In order to do the review, students had to read the worksheet, so they had to use their literacy skills. There was content development because it was a review of what they students had learn as a result from being in my small group for that week. B) Provide a graphic (table or chart) or narrative that summarizes the class/group s learning for the common assessment. Overall, there was improvement in the group s learning. The majority of them only missed one question, and that was only because the question was worded awkwardly. They did, however, have trouble on the multiplication word problem because it asked them for remainders, and I do not think they have learned about remainders yet. As shown above in the chart, only one student received the highest percent. This does not mean that the other students did not show growth, it only means that there was one problem that the students did not understand. In this case, the problem that the three students missed was the problem that I worded wrong and explained wrong. C) Use the class/group summary you provided in prompt 1b to analyze the patterns of language, literacy, and content learning for the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Marshmallow Effect Marshmallow Effect Scientists often attribute adaptive and goal directed human behavior to an intellectual control system that organizes, monitors, and alters the settings of lower level perceptive processes. This allows people to suppress or replace impulsive, habitual, or inappropriate actions. The Marshmallow Effect is an experiment conducted by psychologist Walter Mischel in the 1970 s to study self control in children (Walter, 2013). This experiment is a simple but effective when it comes to the modern study of the human ability to delay gratification. The ability of a cancer cell to undergo migration and invasion allows it to change position within the tissues. Metastasis consists of five steps which are termed the metastatic cascade (Fig. 1). These five steps of cascade are invasion and migration, intravastion, circulation, extravasation, Colonization, proliferation and angiogenesis. That being said, the Just In Time system is one of the many ways companies can manage their inventory. This type of system can only exist through the use of automation and many advances in technology. The purpose and goal of this type of system is to eliminate wasted inventory and remain extremely flexible to the ever changing business environment (Reid Ch 7, 2002). The idea is to take a much broader view of operations where inventory is not only controlled by managers but also by the salesmen and sometimes even the consumer himself. J I T management strives to eliminate wasted time and money spent in unnecessary material handling and overstocked shelves. By allowing the consumer to drive the inventory a company can simplify the entire process and decrease mistakes. In terms of morphology, snakes are quite interesting, especially when it comes to venomous snakes of Kansas. Here, we will describe snakes, their structure, what they eat, how often, reproduction, habitat and other interesting facts about snakes in general. Then, we will examine closely venomous snakes that are indigenous to Kansas. Snakes are elongated, flexible, and limbless reptiles from the suborder Serpentes. There are approximately 2,900 different species of snakes. There are around 700 different species of venomous snakes and 250 of these are able to kill a human with a single bite. Snakeare generally carnivorous. They eat various items such as termites, birds, eggs, mice, rabbits, and other reptiles/mammals. Snakes do not chew their prey; they swallow it whole and their moveable maxillary allows them to swallow large prey three times the size of their heads. They have rear facing teeth which helps them keep their prey captive until they can swallow it. Some venomous snakes will inject their prey with venom while constricting snakes will squeeze the breath from their prey until they die. • 10. The Divine Timeless Eternity Theory Essay The divine timeless eternity theory is the traditional view pertaining to God and time, but it is by no means the only theory, as there are at least four. My original intention was to compare two views in relation to this topic, however, the complexity of the dialogue has proven difficult. Therefore, I will discuss one theory in depth since I believe it will suffice. In this framework, I will discuss the challenges and varying beliefs with the ideas involved. The goal of my paper is to understand the doctrine of eternityand find how this changes my understanding of God. Then I will discuss how this issue influences my approach to God, and to my ministry. First, however, I will explain the need to uncover the idea of eternalism. We will now proceed. Why might one explore the idea of how God functions in time? It is extremely difficult to ignore questions after they have been asked. Historically, questions have been the cause of councils and creeds that now exist as essential dogmas of the Christian faith. Without questioning, what is real and what actually exists? The difference can only be distinguished by those who question. While it might not be explicitly stated, the idea of eternalism is biblical. The theology of the trinity was a similar idea, where no single passage gives enough evidence to a triune God, but with a proper understanding of the biblical narrative, there is enough truth to discover such a characteristic of God s nature. The strategic inflation of population is comparable to the PA Ministry of Health that had strategically inflated causality rates in the past (see Operation Protective Shield in 2002). The objective her would be to gain political capital, as well as to demonstrate to Israeli policy makers that the annexation of Judea and Samaria would destroy the sensitive Jewish majority of the State of Israel. According to the research conducted by the American Israeli group, the PCBS had inflated the Arab population of Judea and Samaria to 2.42 million. In contrast, the AIDRG concluded that only 1.41 million Arabs lived in Judea and Samaria. • 15. The Components Of Social Conflict And Social Identity Theory Tal classifies this mechanism as sociopsychological infrastructure. It manifests in collective memory, the ethos of conflict and collective emotional orientation (p.1430). These are the mechanism that distinguishes one group from another. Hence the collective memory, the ethos of conflict and collective emotional orientation are what member of a group share, against the other . A classic case of we against them. The question of how these operate from an individual s point of view becomes imperative. Social Identity Theory Tajfel Turner, (1979) the proponents of social identitytheory helped in the understanding of intergroup relations. Their focus was on the complex interweaving of an individual or interpersonal behavior with contextual social processes of intergroup conflict (p.276). social identity theory, therefore emphasizes intergroup relations (relationship of an individual has with his group and between an outgroup) and categorical distinction (what sets an individual apart from another outgroup) . Korostelina describes this as the processes of identification with other group members (p.23). Personal identities are consequently reflected in an individual s social identity. Positive Impact Of Higher Education On Education Individual There are many individuals now studying at higher education institutions, such as university, and benefitting both financially and health wise. The increased wage and job opportunities afforded to university and college graduates are one of the positive impacts that higher education provides individuals. A report by Baum, Ma Payea (2013) finds that on average those who complete a college degree earn on average 14% more than those who have completed study at a high school level. It is also reported that unemployment rates are 1.6 to 7.1% lower in those who study at a college level or higher in comparison to those who only have high school level education. With higher wages and better access to job opportunities, the standard of living for individuals with higher education is improved and with this comes benefits such as more money to invest in not only their own individual interests, but also into local communities. In comparison, however, the study by Stokes Wright (2011) suggests that the cost of higher education in Australia does not support students decisions to study, saying that the cost of fees are often higher than the benefits they are likely to receive from studying at university. One of the defining factors that allowed the romans to have such successful conquests and to maintain such a large empire is the standardization of equipment that its troops had to abide by. Roman weaponry Each roman soldier was fitted with similar equipment, the primary weapon of each was their Gladius they also had a Pugio for their spare weapon. There was a lot of controversy when the book was first published because of the incredibility of the work. This could be expected in that time, because people where not familiar with the concept of non fiction novels yet, but this is where the beauty of this style of writing lies, the recreation of the truth. It would have been impossible for Capote to have documented the occurrence fully, because he only read about the murder after it had happen, after all, this was not what he wanted to do. The true art of the non fiction novel is the missing information that is filled in by the author. Capote does a good job of recreating what had happened before the murders took place. He had a subjective view of Holcomb in the introduction, but he describes it skillfully, trying to bring out the contrast of the quiet small town and the events that were going to take place there. With the extensive research that was done by Capote, he could formulate a good picture of what had happened before the murder. He uses a technique where he splits the story in two, and then moving from one scene with the Clutter family, too the murderers, Dick and Perry and then later between the murderers and the investigating detectives. This allows the reader to constantly be aware of what was taking place and when it had happened. Capote also uses it to create more suspense in the story, leaving you after every scene wanting to know more. Capote used a third person, omniscient point of view in writing the non fiction novel. This allowed him to convey the thoughts of some of the characters, allowing the reader to be inside the characters mind, experiencing the emotional reality of each scene. They are situated towards the back of the body under the ribs, just at the level of the waist, with one on each side of the body. Each kidney is composed of about one million units called nephrons, and each nephron consists of two parts: a filter, called the glomerulus and a tubule leading out from the nephrons (Cameron 1999). According to Marshall and Bangert (2008), the kidneys have three major functions: firstly, the kidneys excrete waste from plasma in the blood. Secondly, they maintain extracellular fluid volume and composition. Lastly, the kidneys play a role in hormone synthesis. There are many diseases that might infect the kidneys and affect their... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... However, when the kidneys stop working completely, the situation known as end stage renal failure (ESRF) occurs in CRF. Some diseases may cause CRF when patients are infected for a long time. Diabetes Mellitus One of the diseases that can cause CRF is diabetes mellitus, a major cause of renal failure. This disease can be defined as an increase in fasting blood glucose as a result of a deficiency in insulin, which is a hormone. The normal range for glucose (fasting) in the blood is 2.8 6.0 mmol/L. Diabetes Mellitus is classified into two groups: type 1 (insulin dependent) and type 2 (non insulin dependent). The difference between them is that, in type 1, the body does not produce enough insulin, but in type 2 the body does not make effective use of this hormone. Stein (2008, p. 6) points out that kidney failure most often occurs when patients have suffered from diabetes mellitus for more than 10 years. According to a report by the U.S. Renal Data System (USRDS) in 2007, the cause of approximately 44% of renal failure in 2005 was diabetes mellitus. Stein (2008) also indicates that 15% of dialysis patients are influenced by diabetes mellitus in the United Kingdom. Diabetes mellitus has negative effects on the kidneys, where the increase in range of blood sugar causes damage to kidney cells, in particular the nephrons. This can ... The baby m case provides a greater insight into these 2 objections, which Steinbock further discusses. In the baby m case the surrogate was paid to be impregnated and carry the child, this is where laws and regulations need to be strongly monitored, as the contract never stated turnover of the child meaning the surrogate fulfilled her contractual agreement if she did not provide the child to the parents (Steinbock, 1988, p. 427). The courts found that the payment made to the surrogate to turn the child over was prohibited (Steinbock, 1988, p. 427). The baby m case was a complicated and a good example of a surrogacy agreement, which went wrong. This case shows that governments need to enforce stricter laws and regulations regarding surrogacy to ensure there is no confusion and no child selling. Steinbock (1988) suggests that rather than be paid for giving up the child that surrogates instead are paid for anything involving the pregnancy such as medical expenses which will then allow the process to been seen a another form of adoption as the child is not being purchased (p. 428). There was Mike Red and Mike Green to the west side, and Nan Red , Nan Green , and Nan White to the east (Neillands Norman, 233). Landing on the beach there was the Royal Winnipeg Rifles, the Regina Rifle Regiment, the Canadian Scottish Regiment, the Queen s Own Rifles of Canada, the French Canadian Regiment de la Chaudiere and the North Shore (Chartwell, 52). Now D Day, or some call it Juno Beach, is a defining moment and played a big role for Canadians in the development of their future in military affairs. What makes it a defining moment is that Canada succeeded in their objectives, Canada supported the mother country and alliesin this battle, and Canada fought the most in D Day. But for Canada that was no problem.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Canadian landings on the beach were a great success and progressed farther inland than any unit of their allies. The Americans and the British did manage to get ashore too, but with a varying degree of difficulty (Douglas, 75). Overall, the Canadian invasion was going so well that by 1030 hours (10:30 am) Juno Beach Commander, Major General R.F. Keller, felt confident enough to send a message to General Crerar (Douglas, 65). A troop of 1st Hussars tanks also helped Canada succeed in their objectives by advancing 15km from the beach. They gained the reputation of being the only Allied unit to capture their full planned final objective on D Day (Douglas, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

A match is the best of 3 games each of 21 points. A point is scored with every serve. When a side is winning a rally a point is added to their score. When both sides get to 20, the side that gains a 2 point lead wins. When both sides reach 29, the side that gets to 30 first wins. Single rule: When the person serving has an odd score, they serve from the left; an even score they serve from the right. In singles, when a rally is won, the person who served wins the point then serves from the other service court. • 41. Starry Night, Strong Sense Of Comfort, And A Deep Sleep... Chloe Studyvin Mr. Bergmann Sophomore Honors P6 October 10 2016 Dreamland Starry night, strong sense of comfort, and a deep sleep creates the perfect formula for a sensational dream. Many people know that they have dreams, even if they do not remember them. Yet, a scarce amount of people know how, when, and why dreams actually occur. This same concept is true for deja vu. Many individuals wonder, what are dreams? How do dreams relate to deja vu? If so, how is it possible for dreams to predict the future? All these questions will be ceased. Despite some people s beliefs, dejavu comes from dreams. A dream is a series of thoughts, images, and sensations in a person s mind during sleep. But what exactly occurs in these imaginative episodes? Is it a pathway to another realm? Another galaxy? Actually, dreams are controlled by neurotransmitters. Neurotransmitters determines whether we are awake or whether we are asleep, sort of like a switch (American Sleep Association). In dreams, there are actually multiple sleep stages (Withings). These sleep stages are all called neurotic rapid eye movement, or NREM. In fact, dreams do not even occur until the fourth and final NREM stage. The first stage is the lightest stage of sleep. This stage makes it effortless to fall in and out of slumber. Stage one is also the shortest in duration in comparison to the other phases, lasting approximately about 1 10 minutes. During this period, your heart rate becomes steady ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 42. Executive Order 12898 The prevalence of environmental issues in the public awareness reached a point where government was forced to take action in 1979. When Henry Love abandoned construction of a canal in New York in 1920, the site was bought by Hooker Chemical and used as a toxic chemical waste dumping site for the next 33 years (Schons 2011). Then in 1953 Hooker Chemical sold the Love Canal to the school board, and construction of a school began. In the mid to late 1970s, when children s shoes began melting to the ground and children got sick the residents organized and protested. Media coverage increased and showed toxic black sludge oozing into people s basements (Schons 2011). The lack of awareness of environmental and health consequences of chemical dumping... The order also established an Interagency Working Group on Environmental Justice (Bernier, C. J. 2013). Executive Order 12898 was intended to ensure the full implementation and to supplement the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 promoting environmental justice awareness in all US environmental policy. It was also designed to supplement already existing law prohibiting discrimination of any kind in programs receiving funding from the federal government, and extends the same protections from discrimination established in the Civil Rights Act of 1964 to one s health and community being afforded the same protection from pollution and effects of exposure to toxic material (Clinton ... • 43. Destiny Summary Essay Destiny and what it offers: With Destiny reaching its 1 year anniversary soon, the game went through many changes that have improved since launch, but is it worth buying before The Taken King expansion is released? I took a very long break from Destiny due to it lacking in what most games have for $60, which is content. Destiny had released an Alpha Beta prior to its original launch giving players an idea of what the game is and how it would be played. The biggest innovation that Bungie wanted to utilize in Destiny was the social aspect, having players communicate and meeting to do Raids, Strikes and other activities for players to enjoy and accomplish. Pricing and what specific content will be available doesn t give people any comfortability due to the fact that you won t know what you re getting unless you either do a lot of research or you just buy it and Destiny is no exception to this. Destiny offers two expansions called The Dark Below I and House of Wolves II, they both contain content that give Destiny players their grinding fix, but are both expansions actually worth getting? Yes and it s not for a good reason either. Destiny is a $60 (at the time, now $30) retail game that should offer content that will make players feel as if the $60 was worth spending in the long run and ultimately Destiny was not worth that amount of money during the original release. It lacked content and didn t give players what was offered. The story or lack of story can only be understood if you go to your Bungie.net account and read the Grimmoire. It is a great read as it provides a better background for the lore of Destiny and the characters, along with enemies, as it explains the major plot holes in the game. • 44. Cause And Effect Of Hurricane Katrina Nature has thrashed the earth long before humans came to be. Volcanic eruptions, tornadoes, and hurricanes are by far some of the most destructive and devastating occurrences on the face of the planet. To illustrate, Hurricane Katrina came upon United States land in August of 2005. The states of Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Mississippi, and of course Louisiana(CNN Library, 2014) took a hard beating as Hurricane Katrinas winds sustained at 155 miles per hour alongside a storm surge over twenty feet high (National Geographic, 2005). New Orleans, Louisiana, averaging between one and two feet below sea level in elevation (Google, n.d.), experienced the full force of Hurricane Katrina as the hurricane s center arced toward the city. Levees were in place to hinder the influx of ocean waters, yet could not stay strong as Hurricane Katrina pounded against the barriers. The hurricane approached the Gulf Region as a category 5 and made landfall as a category 3 hurricane (History.com Staff, 2009). When the hurricane passed twelve hours later, all that was left was destruction. New Orleans was the city to be dealt the most damage. Over eighty percent of the city was left underwater from Hurricane Katrina (Nguyen, 2007). About seventy percent of occupied housing was taken by the hurricane (CNN Library, 2014). The population of New Orleans dropped from 484,674 in April of 2000 to 230,172 in July of 2006 (CNN Library, 2014). The hurricane s total damages were estimated at about 125 ... • 45. Essay on Napoleon at Waterloo The battle of Waterloo is universally associated with the last stand of Napoleon. It is (for all intents and purposes) the most significant blow to Napoleons final attempt at a return to power, Napoleons loss sealed his fate and consequently lost his empire (once and for all). However was it truly Napoleon s faults that resulted in the loss at Waterloo? Or as many have stated was it more accurately Marshal Ney s inability to follow Napoleons orders and command his troops in a custom that Napoleon not only expected but had spent years refining. Before the battle of Waterloo Napoleon ordered 30 000 troops under the command of Marshal Grouchy to separate from the main force, splitting off in order to (in theory) catch and eliminate the... Marshal Ney s First mistake is seen in the exemption of ordering infantry attacks along with his cavalry, this though a forgivable mistake was compounded once his other mistakes are made. Infantry and cavalry are so often used in tandem precisely because when cavalry attacks infantry alone, the infantry has only to form strategic squares and the cavalry is easily repelled, this however the formation of squares is easily prevented with the use of infantry, rows of infantry can easily shoot down a square with little to no ...
