Jodie Wood is proposing a digital print project focused on femininity in artist Grayson Perry's pre-therapy works. The project will include elements of video and graphic design. Research will examine feminism waves, Perry's life, and similar artists. The concept is a minimalist magazine exploring femininity in Perry's art from that period. Evaluation will include daily reflections documented over the project's duration in weekly video logs to create a full production record for assessment. The goal is to reflect on strengths and weaknesses to continuously improve work quality.

Hadj Ounis's most notable work is his sculpture titled "Metamorphosis." This piece showcases Ounis's mastery of form and texture, as he seamlessly combines metal and wood to create a dynamic and visually striking composition. The juxtaposition of the two materials creates a sense of tension and harmony, inviting viewers to contemplate the relationship between nature and industry.
The cherry: beauty, softness, its heart-shaped plastic has inspired artists since Antiquity. Cherries and strawberries were considered the fruits of paradise and thus represented the souls of men.

Project proposal title and date:
Femininity in Art: Grayson Perry’s Pre-Therapy Years /
Identities: Exploring Femininity in the Style of Grayson Perry
Main area of activity:
Digital Print project with elements of video and graphic design.
Rationale: 150 words approx.
The last project that I did – a fanzine project – was really helpful for my FMP. Considering that it
was a print project, it has meant that I can reflect on how well that project went and I can shift
things around that may not have gone so well. For example, if there was a certain editing
technique that I used that turned out really well, I can them continue using that technique in this
project. Similarly, I can see what went not too well and either avoid or develop that area to make
this project as best as it can be.
Doing lots of media practice in my free time has also affected the standard of my work, meaning
that it is at a higher standard and I now know more editing techniques. This means that I can
incorporate these techniques into my work, hopefully raising the standard of the final product.
Project Concept: 200 words approx.
The concept for my project is to create a minimalist magazine, revolving around femininity found in
art, focusing on Grayson Perry’s Pre-Therapy Years. This is inspired by niche art magazines that
are very clean and tidy, drawing attention to the editing techniques that may make them look basic,
but has a massive effect on the buyers.
Research wise, for context, I will look at different waves of feminism, society at the time that Perry
was making his art, Perry’s life and childhood, and similar artists that use femininity in their art. For
product research, I will look at brochures that would be found in an art gallery, different art
blogs/websites and different editing techniques that are used to make these products.
I want to write a piece about how Perry used femininity to express himself through his art, and how
prominent the theme of femininity is in art as a whole. Things in my project could shift around
slightly, as it is just a first idea for my project. Hopefully, there will be a visual development
throughout my project, showing the personal and production evolution.
How will the project be evaluated and reviewed: 150 words approx.
Each day, I reflect on the work that I do and document it down, so that when it comes to
evaluation, I have ever bit of work that I have done in all the days at hand. I am also recording
short vlog documentaries each week and will edit them together throughout the duration of my
project, so at the end, I have a full production log for the entire of my project. This will make my
evaluation really easy to complete, as I will have everything I did every day of the project.
Evaluations are really important as it means that I can reflect and see what went well and no so
well and develop the areas that didn’t go too well. This makes the standard of my work higher and
there will be a visual difference from project to project.
