Assessing the current capability of the
organization's Service Management Model,
or Project Management Office, can help
identify what is needed, where to start,
weaknesses and opportunities, and
strategies for bridging the gap between the
present state and teh future state.
The Maturity Assessment is mapped against
whatever model or future state that is being
prioritized. After assessing the current state,
the team can continue to assess the ITIL
Service Management Framework against
ITIL and PMO best practices.
The assessment can be broken into further
detail to include business scorecard areas.
