Training and onboarding the department will leverage
pilots that emphasize the minimum viable features,
applications, and tools needed to collaborate and
manage assets effectively. Future phases can
emphasize design and implementation of additional
features, supporting a proactive approach to risk and
process management.
Training, Change, & Onboarding
Preparation will include identifying and validating
enterprise metadata standards, document
management workflow roles & best practices, and
updating policies, procedures, and training roadmaps.

management framework will require a thoughtful,
learning, and adaptive approach.
The department will also need to identify what
objects to migrate, which objects will remain in
xDrives, and who will map the new library
architecture and metadata standards to
migrated objects.

The department will need to validate its future state
document library structure, metadata standards,
sensitivity and retention labels, site/ asset architecture,
and active directory roles and permissions. The
department will need to identify regulatory and policy
requirements.
Best practices will be reinforced through
training, coaching, auditing, reviews, reporting,
and localized governance.
