Career Management ensures you are prepared for your next step; whether it be
attending school, finding a new career, starting your own business, or entering
retirement.

Career Management
Career Maturity denotes the degree of readiness to make realistic career
decisions. Members below a certain threshold of career management lack the
life experiences and personal inclinations required to make fitting occupational
decisions. To advance your career management, a career counselor may
help develop decisional attitudes and dispositional skills that sustain realistic
career planning. The objective is to begin with the end in mind.

Evaluation
A survey will be administered before and after each module. PCCSS Individual
Development Plan (IDP) will be evaluated throughout the course by your career
coach and mentor. Evaluation for each module is determined by PCCSS at the
close of each cohort. Each module requires a minimum of 30 minutes and a
maximum of 90 minutes based on how well you demonstrate mastery of each
lesson. Career aptitude, personality, listening, and learning assessments will
confirm career choice assumptions.

 Career Development (CD) is the primary responsibility of individuals in organizations.
 A recent survey of Human Resource Development Directors indicated they consider CD to be
their least important function.
 This correlates with recent trends of disappearing corporate career paths and job security.
