Financial Development and Economic Growth Nexus in Nigeriaiosrjce
The study assessed the impact of financial development on economic growth in Nigeria using time
series data from 1970 to 2012. The Autoregressive Distributed Lag bounds testing approach to cointegration
was utilized for this study. The result from the ARDL model indicate that the variables for this study are
cointegrated while the error correction term appeared significant and confirms that short-run disequilibria are
corrected up to about 50 percent annually. The empirical results reveals that financial development exerts
positive and significant impact on economic growth in the long-run while trade liberalization variables exert
negative impact on economic growth in the long-run indicating non-competitive nature of non-oil domestic
products in the international market. In the short-run, domestic credit is insignificant which indicates a dearth
of investible funds in the economy. There is evidence that financial development policies influence economic
growth in the long-run and not in the short-run. This study among others recommends the urgent need to
implement policies that will strengthen the deposit mobilization and intermediation efforts in the banking system
in other to deepen the financial system. Nigerian trade performance should be improved through economic
diversification and further availability of funds to private sector at competitive interest rate in order to produce
internationally competitive products.
The study is on the effect of Net capital inflow on inclusive growth in Nigeria. This study seeks to deepen the understanding on how capital inflow creates opportunity for inclusive growth in Nigeria through increase in GDP per capita. The objective of the study were to : determine the effect of Net capital inflow , Net foreign direct investment and trade openness on inclusive growth in Nigeria. The study employed the time series data in its analysis. The period of analysis spanned through 1980-2015 and the dataset required for the analysis were sourced from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Statistical Bulletin and National bureau of statistics publications. The study conducted trend analysis, descriptive analysis. The data were also tested for stationarity using the Augmented Dickey Fuller (ADF) unit root test and Ordinary Least Square (OLS) analytical techniques, cointegration test and error correction mechanism. It was evident from the unit root test that the variables were fractionally integrated while the cointegration test reveals that long run relationship exists among the variables. The findings equally reveal that capital inflow exerts significant negative influence on GDP per capita. This could be attributed to the problem of managing external capital flows which has been sub-optimal in most developing economies including Nigeria. The implication of this finding is that the perceived benefits that are associated with capital inflows tend not to hold sway in Nigeria over the sampled period which may be attributed to institutional and governance failure. Owing to the findings, this study recommends for the adoption of investment friendly policies and ensure transparency and good governance, appropriate economic management practices capable of supporting reforms in the Nigerian financial system and guide international capital inflows to ensure that the associated economic turnarounds are people-centered.

Measuring the Dynamics of Financial Deepening and Economic Growth in Nigeria,...iosrjce
The study examined the relationship between financial deepening and economic growth for the
period 1981 to 2013 using empirical evidence from Nigeria. The Engel-Granger two-step cointegration
procedures and Error Correction Model (ECM) were used as the method of estimation. The analyses of
residuals of the OLS regression showed evidence in favour of cointegration between financial deepening and
economic growth. Similarly, estimates from the error correction model provide evidence to show that financial
deepening indicators and GDP series converge to a long-run equilibrium at a reasonably fast rate. The result
points to the fact that the deepening of the financial system can engineer the Nigerian economy to greater
growth.

Good governance is essential for economic development as it enhances the effectiveness of economic policies undertaken by the government. The aim of this paper is to study the relationship between governance and economic growth in Africa. Using the World Bank governance indicators we construct a composite index to resume all the indicators in one variable that will be used to measure the impact of governance on growth. The main result of this study is that a change in the governance index of a unit is likely to produce an increase of 1.7% in real GDP. This result seems to be extremely important considering the shortage of financial resources in Africa. Improving governance seems to be the best and the less expensive way the boost economic growth. Thus, African countries need to strengthen their economic efficiency by promoting results-based fiscal management, improving their doing business environment and investing in education to improve the quality of human factor.
Effect of budget deficits on economic growthNigus Temare
The main objective of this study was to investigate the effect of budget deficit on economic growth in Ethiopia. For this purpose, the study used time series secondary data, and the data was extracted from the World Bank development indicators, Ministry of Finance, and National Planning and Development Commission of Ethiopia. The data covered a period running from 1994 to 2020.The study employed the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) co-integration technique to determine the long and short-run relationship between budget deficit and economic growth. The findings resulted from modeling and analysis of the study showed that there exists a negative relationship between budget deficit and economic growth in Ethiopia and these results are consistent with the neoclassical economist schools of thought. Besides, the inflation rate is affecting the economic growth negatively and significantly whereas, government expenditure and trade openness affect the economy positively and statistically significant in the long run. On the other hand, the analysis in the short-run revealed that the budget deficit is positive but statistically insignificant. This indicates that budget deficit changes have no immediate effect on economic growth. The study suggested some policies which are important for the government of Ethiopia to avoid certain levels of the budget deficit to achieve the desired level of growth.
This paper examines whether the long-run relationship between budget and external deficits follows the
tenets of the twin-deficit hypothesis, the Ricardian equivalence hypothesis, the current account targeting
hypothesis, or the feedback linkages. It also evaluates the effects of budget and trade deficits on economic growth.
On a global perspective, these have been in the recent period debated in developed and developing nations. In
contributing to this ongoing debate, the study applied unit root tests, cointegration analysis, a dynamic vector
error correction model and a multivariate Toda-Yamamoto long -run Granger-causality representation using
annual time series data for Kenya from 1980 to 2016. There is evidence of unidirectional causality running from
budget deficit to external deficit in support of the twin-deficit hypothesis. In the long run, budget deficit had
significant positive effects while trade deficit had significant negative effects, on real GDP growth. Overall, the
findings suggest that the authorities should promote policies that upscale fiscal discipline, curb budget deficits for
external stability and long-term economic growth, in Kenya. The evidence underscores the need for more country
specific studies in sub-Saharan Africa.
Macroeconomic stability in the DRC: highlighting the role of exchange rate an...IJRTEMJOURNAL
This study is part of a macroeconomic approach and seeks to identify the role of the rate of
economic growth and the exchange rate in controlling the macroeconomic framework. The approaches adopted
in this paper are part of Keynesian thinking on macroeconomic stability using the macroeconomic stability
index proposed by Burnside and Dollars (2004) and A. Amine (2005). Our results argue that economic growth
is causing macroeconomic stability and that the exchange rate is negatively and significantly accounting for
macroeconomic stability in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Abstract:Savings are necessary if investment, and hence economic growth and development are to be stimulated. The paper looks at the broad set of possible determinants of private savings in Lesotho using annual time series data for the period 1980-2010. The paper estimates the saving rate function and Error-Correction modelling is used to avoid spurious results. The results indicate that public savings are important in explaining changes in private savings, both in the short-run and long-run and that the terms of trade negatively influence private savings in Lesotho in the long-run.
Budget Deficit and Economic Growth in Liberia: An Empirical InvestigationAJHSSR Journal
: This paper investigates the relationship between budget deficits and economic growth in Liberia.
The study employed: the Classical Ordinary Least Squares Technique (OLS); The Augmented Dickey Fuller
(ADF) and Phillip Perron unit root tests for stationarity; the Co-integration test using Engle-Granger Two-Step
procedure (EGTS); and a parsimonious Error Correction Model of the relationship between Budget deficit and
economic growth in Liberia. It is evident from the analysis that there exists a long run relationship between Budget
deficit and economic growth in Liberia. There also exists a positive and significant relationship between Budget
deficit and economic growth in Liberia. Therefore, a 1.0 percent increase in deficits will result in an increase of
approximately 0.42 percent in economic growth in Liberia. The study recommends that government, policy makers
and the monetary authorities should ensure an appropriate mix of monetary and fiscal policies such that would
deliberately and strategically maximize the growth potentials of deficits in Liberia.

Measurement and Analysis of the Stability of Local Fiscal RevenueIJAEMSJORNAL
The stability of fiscal revenue, so called the fluctuation of fiscal revenue, refers to the fluctuation degree of local government's actual fiscal revenue deviating from the expected fiscal revenue. As the main way of funds for local governments to perform public service functions, fiscal revenue is an important starting point for local governments to regulate and participate in economic activities. The drastic fluctuation of fiscal revenue will interfere with the government's economic functions, reduce the quantity and quality of public services, and produce inefficient government activities. The economic and social activities carried out by governments at all levels in practice are numerous and complicated, which can be classified according to different purposes and perspectives. However, no matter which classification method is adopted, stable financial revenue is the core guarantee of government economic activities, which is in the position of "leading the development and affecting the whole body". Based on the combination variance method of white (1983), this paper constructs the stability index of local fiscal revenue, and measures the stability of fiscal revenue of all provinces in China, and interprets and analyzes the measurement results through the theoretical method of economics. It is found that there are significant regional differences in the fluctuation of local fiscal revenue in China. By comparing the changes of fiscal revenue fluctuation index in 2000, 2009 and 2018, the fluctuation index of fiscal revenue shows obvious regional differences. The fluctuation degree of the economically developed eastern coastal area is lower than that of the underdeveloped central and Western Region, and the southern region with lower economic activity is significantly lower than that of the north. On the other hand, the external shocks such as "replacing business tax with value-added tax" and financial crisis also have a positive impact on local tax fluctuations. Through the analysis of the experimental results, it is found that good economic foundation, capital accumulation, industrial structure and geographical location have a great impact on financial stability. Therefore, the government should pay attention to the gap between the stability of fiscal revenue in different regions, actively improve the economic foundation of the poor stability of the central and western regions, formulate differentiated economic and financial policies, vigorously develop the secondary and tertiary industries, and improve the stability of fiscal revenue to cope with regional economic risks and improve the administrative efficiency of the government.
An Analysis of the Relationship between Fiscal Deficits and Selected Macroeco...IOSR Journals
This study investigates the relationship that exists between the Government Deficit Spending and selected macroeconomic variables such as Gross Domestic Product (GDP), Exchange Rate, Inflation, Money Supply and Lending Interest Rate. The period covered is 1970 (when the civil war ended) and 2011. Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) technique was adopted to analyze the relationships. The study concludes that Government Deficit Spending (GDS) has positive significant relationship with GDP. Government Deficit Spending also has positive significant relationship with Exchange Rate, Inflation, and Money Supply. Government Deficit has negative significant relationship with Lending Interest Rate and most likely crowd-out the private sector by raising the cost of funds. Deficit spending has been known to have adverse effects on the economy and government is advised to curtail excessive deficit spending. It is recommended that further research is done to establish other variables that are affected by government deficit spending.

Hierarchical Digital Twin of a Naval Power SystemKerry Sado
A hierarchical digital twin of a Naval DC power system has been developed and experimentally verified. Similar to other state-of-the-art digital twins, this technology creates a digital replica of the physical system executed in real-time or faster, which can modify hardware controls. However, its advantage stems from distributing computational efforts by utilizing a hierarchical structure composed of lower-level digital twin blocks and a higher-level system digital twin. Each digital twin block is associated with a physical subsystem of the hardware and communicates with a singular system digital twin, which creates a system-level response. By extracting information from each level of the hierarchy, power system controls of the hardware were reconfigured autonomously. This hierarchical digital twin development offers several advantages over other digital twins, particularly in the field of naval power systems. The hierarchical structure allows for greater computational efficiency and scalability while the ability to autonomously reconfigure hardware controls offers increased flexibility and responsiveness. The hierarchical decomposition and models utilized were well aligned with the physical twin, as indicated by the maximum deviations between the developed digital twin hierarchy and the hardware.

Heap sort is a comparison-based sorting technique based on Binary Heap data structure. It is similar to the selection sort where we first find the minimum element and place the minimum element at the beginning. Repeat the same process for the remaining elements.
Using recycled concrete aggregates (RCA) for pavements is crucial to achieving sustainability. Implementing RCA for new pavement can minimize carbon footprint, conserve natural resources, reduce harmful emissions, and lower life cycle costs. Compared to natural aggregate (NA), RCA pavement has fewer comprehensive studies and sustainability assessments.
