popularly promote healthy
lifestyles and get students active
during such a critical period of
their lives.

Misconception: Only

Reality: People of all
shapes, all sizes, all ages,
and all fitness levels use
the Fit and Rec.

coolest functions.”
How the fit/rec Helps Makaila: “I’ve
gained motivation from the fit and rec.
Having to walk by it everyday gives me
an extra boost to pay a visit. I think it
helps me realize my own potential, and
be more confident in who I am.”
• Overall, Makaila was becoming more
motivated, and had increased
confidence in herself and her
