This document presents a wearable device called NOVI LIFE that aims to prevent drowsy driving accidents. It uses sensors to detect drowsiness through electrodermal activity, body temperature, heart rate, and motion. The data is sent via Bluetooth to a mobile app for analysis. The app monitors trends over time using machine learning to recognize individual patterns and alert drivers if drowsiness is detected when driving. If successful, this device could help reduce the over 1,500 annual deaths and $12.5 billion in costs from the 100,000 accidents caused by drowsy driving in the US each year.
