INTRODUCTION
 Permanent magnet generator also known as Free energy
generator is a machine developed to extract energy from the
surrounding by using principle stated by Tesla.
 Tesla stated that the energy is freely available in the nature
therefore it is necessary to develop means of extracting that
particular energy
 Permanent magnet generator , as its name implies is concerned
with the induction of EMF in coils by cutting of magnetic flux
by rotating magnetic field.
 Power generation using permanent magnet generator(PM
Generator)(Free Energy Generator) is a new system of electric
power generation which is said to be of high efficiency and low
pollution on a household scale
Main Components
1) DC Supply (Excitation)
2) Permanent Magnets
3) Flywheel
4) Copper Coils
5) Rectifier & Filter
6) Controller Switches
7) Initial Rotational Excitation
DC Supply(Excitation)
 Permanent magnet generator requires initial excitation to the
coils.
 12 volts and above DC supply excitation is required to excite
the electromagnets.
 The energy can be freely extracted if we charge the 12v
Battery/DC supply by solar charger The circuit for the same is
shown below:
PERMANENT MAGNET
Neodymium Magnet
• The Neodymium Iron Boron, NdFeB, magnets are made of an
alloy primarily consisting of Neodymium, Iron and Boron
• Up to +150 degrees C, the Neodymium Iron Boron magnets are
the strongest performers.
• It is considered as the strongest magnet (RARE EARTH
METAL)
• The "Neo" magnets are a first choice for many applications as
they offer the greatest performance with the smallest volume.
Neodymium Iron Boron, NdFeB, magnets exist in a variety of
grades. These grades not only vary in magnetic output
performance but they also vary with temperature rating
•In our project we require high magnetic field to produce high
voltage of 230v. Hence Neodymium Magnet Is Essential.
Strength Of Magnetic Field{Neodymium}
Flywheel/Rotor
 A flywheel is a rotating mechanical device that is used to
store Rotational Energy. Flywheels have a significant moment of
inertia and thus resist changes in rotational speed. The amount of
energy stored in a flywheel is proportional to the square of its
rotational speed
 In our project we are going to use circular rotor/flywheel with
permanent magnet inserted on 4 sides.
 To mount Rotor/Flywheel ball bearing is used.
 The purpose of a ball bearing is to reduce rotational friction and
support Radial and Axial loads.
Copper Coils
 Copper Coils are one of the most important component of free
energy generator.
 Copper Coils are wound with specific number of turns on any
insulating material
 Total Six number of copper coils
are required for free energy
generator ,Divided into two types
1) Driving Coil
2) Generating Coil
Driving Coil
 Driving coils are two in number. These two coils are mounted
opposite (180 deg)to each other nearer to rotor.
 Driving Coil performs the function of Electromagnet producing
magnetic field.
Generating Coil
 Generating Coils are four in number. These coils are mounted at
90 deg, 180 deg, 270 deg and 360 Deg.
 Generating Coils are connected in series which give the required
Ac output
Rectifier & Filter
 Free Energy Generator produces 230v AC Voltage.
 Application of Generator can be increased by converting AC
voltage into DC voltage . So as to charge a battery, Charging
mobile etc.
Here is a very simple Circuit of a 12V power supply circuit using
LM7812 IC. LM7812 is a three terminal fixed voltage regulator
IC. It has many built in features like thermal shutdown, short
circuit protection, safe operating area protection etc. The output
current of the IC is 1A which is enough to run most electronic
devices.
.
Construction
 It consist of flywheel embedded with Neodymium magnets
along circumference having magnetic poles at 0º,90º,180º &
270º.
 The flywheel is coupled with a DC Motor.
 There are two copper coils called as Driving Coils that are
excited by DC Source. They are mounted separately and held
clear of the disc.
 There are four Generating Windings mounted on a disc
allowing them to move through an angle to get optimum
output.
Top View Of PM Generator
Free Energy Generation
Working
 Its working principle is similar to that of a permanent magnet
generator.
 A flywheel embedded with neodymium magnets along its
circumference acts as a rotor moving in constant magnetic
field which produced by dc excited copper windings (Drive
Windings).
 As initial rotation is given to the flywheel through motor ,it
starts to rotate.
• There are two magnetic fields being developed:
1) Magnetic field due to Drive Windings
2) Magnetic field due to Neodymium magnets embedded on
flywheel.
• These two magnetic fields are produced in such a way that the
resultant magnetic field will act tangentially to the flywheel
giving rotational motion to it.
• The instantly changing magnetic flux will cut the generating
winding and thereby induces emf in generating winding.
Significance(Application)
• Power generation using permanent magnet generator is
highly efficient and ecofriendly.
• As it generates an AC output of 60v on a small scale and up to
230 v when implemented on a larger scale, it can be useful to
run almost all domestic appliances.
• This generator is useful in remote villages where power is
available for a very small duration of time.
• This generator will be useful to Defence Personnel
campaigning on borders.
• Hence we conclude that this device will be highly efficient
and convenient for domestic appliances.
Advantages
 Power generation using permanent magnet generator(PM
Generator)(Free Energy Generator) generates power which is said
to be of high efficiency and low pollution on a household scale.
 Permanent Magnet generator has efficiency greater than 90%
without use of any fossil fuel.
 It can be made available for specified period of time in remote
villages/places to run household appliances for a day or two.
