The Rotary E -Club Berlin Global is the First English – German speaking Rotary E-club worldwide and the first E-club in District 1940. My E-club was created for people who live the Rotarian principles of service and business ethics. How we communicate is changing so fast that Rotary needs to move with the times. My E-club has adapted to be the Rotary club for e-driven people and to attract young professionals.
The Rotary E-club of Berlin Global was founded in 2011.We have32 members and 1 Honorary member with 11 different nationalities. Our members are based in Germany, the UK, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Spain, Argentina, Bulgaria, Greece, and Russia.
I would like to repeat that E-clubs are exactly the same as other Rotary clubs, we do service projects too.EXPLAIN IN GENERAL THE DIFFERENT WAYS YOUR CLUB DOES SERVICE PROJECTS.
DESCRIBE YOUR ROTARY CLUB (HOW THE CLUB WAS CHARTERED, MEMBERSHIP DEMOGRAPHICS, NUMBER OF MEMBERS, WHERE ARE YOUR MEMBERS BASED)Rotary E-Club of Puerto Rico and the Americas web page is visited daily by members to speed communication.Born as a tool to attract membership and grow the District. - Attracting two kinds of members:1. young professionals with technological and community interests2. experienced professionals with a spirit of cooperationThe Rotary E-Club of Puerto Rico y la Americas was chartered on 3-23-11.It was born as a tool to attract membership and grow the districtIt consist of 13 M/ 12 F Age pyramidIt currently has 25 members( ) Texas, (Melboune ) Florida, Vieques, San Juan, Santurce, Guaynabo, San Sebastian, Bayamon, Carolina,Cidra.www.rotary-e.org

DESCRIBE YOUR CLUB MEETINGS, HOW DO YOU MEET AND HOW OFTEN (SKYPE, GOOGLE HANGOUT, ONLINE FORUM, ETC…), WHAT YOUR MEETING PROGRAM CONSISTS OF.Our meeting program is similar to a regular Rotary Club with speakers, community projects, fund raising, etc.
Meet online, not in a chat room format but on a live conference call.Use Webex platform and conduct the meeting as any Rotary meetingA diversity of Speakers/topicsInvited guests and makeups
Describe how your club communicates with its members e.g. e-newsletter, weekly email, and how do members get to know each other (do some members meet up for fellowship?)We have a weekly bulletin with information of the previous meeting and the program of the week including the speakers of the week, sometimes a few of the members that are close to each other meet in a Restaurant to share ideas
So how can E-clubs help to KEEP your members?Well E-clubs can help you keep your members as:- It’s the perfect format for Rotarians whose circumstances have changed due to health concerns, moving, or job pressure. - The format is less disruptive and preserves a family life by using computers, netbooks, iPads, cell phones, land phones. - You can attend the meeting in your own time and schedule. The flexibility allows them to stay.- E-club members and other Rotarians, YES THAT’S YOU! Can make-up attendance at any time with an E-club.- We have challenging projects. Since our members are from many different locations we find a way to work together to make good things happen.
Describe the strategies and tactics used to attract new members: Seeking young professionals (New Gens) with technological and community interest.E Clubs Attract young professionals and Rotaractors with the use of new technology. It offers flexibility of attending meetings wherever you are at a competitive cost.Allows experienced Rotarians and professionals to cooperate in a service organization.
I would like to repeat that E-clubs are exactly the same as other Rotary clubs, we do service projects too.EXPLAIN IN GENERAL THE DIFFERENT WAYS YOUR CLUB DOES SERVICE PROJECTS.
