The document provides an evaluation of supplemental virtual direct instruction sessions on the topic of Jacksonian Democracy for students in a virtual school. Based on low exam scores previously, instructors created three new instructional sessions totaling three hours. Ninety-three students completed all sessions and assessments. Evaluation found that instructor and student surveys showed the sessions were effective in increasing understanding and exam scores met the goal of a 5 percentage point increase. The evaluation provided both qualitative and quantitative data through multiple surveys and assessments.
