FilmTT held a stakeholder meeting on July 10, 2017 to discuss its transition year, the current state and future of Trinidad and Tobago's film sector, and plans to develop the sector. The meeting covered FilmTT's objectives in its role as both a film commission and for sector development. Achievements in the past year were highlighted, including facilitating international productions and developing a strategic plan. Gaps in the local industry were identified and plans were discussed to continue developing a strong sector through initiatives such as a film law, capacity building, and expanding the film commission. Stakeholders were encouraged to participate in an ongoing benchmarking survey.
