This document provides a 4-step process for tuning CV carburetors on high RPM engines:
1. Select the best main jet by testing different sizes and choosing the one that provides the hardest pull at top end RPMs.
2. Adjust the needle height/clip position to optimize mid-range power between 5k-7k RPM while keeping the main jet selected.
3. Set the float height to ensure smooth full throttle from 2k-3k RPM after optimizing the main jet and needle.
4. Tune the idle and low RPM cruise by adjusting the fuel screws and checking for smoothness. Proper tuning requires testing different adjustments in order.
