This paper discusses the implementation of a two-phase interleaved boost converter for power factor correction using a PI controller. The method aims to reduce input current ripple and improve power factor by ensuring 180° phase shift between two converters, allowing for cancellation of ripple currents. Simulations conducted in MATLAB-Simulink demonstrate that the interleaved boost converter achieves a higher power factor compared to traditional single-phase diode rectifiers and boost converters.
