This document discusses several field experiments related to education incentives. It describes a year-long program called Chicago Heights Miracle that provides incentives to high school students for good grades, behavior, attendance and test scores. It also examines one-time incentives for 8th and 10th graders to improve standardized test performance. The results found the Chicago Heights Miracle program cost $2,300-$3,300 per additional student passing classes, while one-time incentives cost $59-$99 per standard deviation improvement in test scores, except for math. Future work proposed expanding incentive programs to early education, teachers, and measuring teacher value-added.
