Marius Pienaar gave a presentation on faculties and technologies to the e-Learning Unit staff meeting on October 17, 2012. He discussed myTUTor, the learning management system used at TUT, noting that while many staff use it as a dumping ground for study guides, some utilize more of its tools. He also mentioned Turnitin and SafeAssignment for online submission and plagiarism checking, and that their use is growing university wide. Finally, he briefly outlined other technologies used in different faculties and departments like HR, marketing, and e-assessment.
