Dave Saul of Marketing Masters NY selected as Farmingdale Chamber’s NCCC 2015 Outstanding Businessperson
of the Year
The Farmingdale Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce David Saul was selected as our Nassau
Council of Chambers of Commerce 2015 Outstanding Small Businesspersons of the Year. Each year, the
Nassau Council of Chambers of Commerce encourages it members to select an Honoree to receive this
prestigious award. The Honoree must meet the following criteria:
ď‚· Active Member of the Chamber of Commerce
ď‚· Owns or manages a business located in the community
ď‚· Has made a significant contribution to the local economy, to the advancement of the Chamber and has
made a meaningful and important contribution to the general welfare of the local community.
The Farmingdale Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors unanimously agreed that Dave fully meets and
exceeds these criteria and is proud to recognize him as our 2015 Honoree.
Dave Saul grew up nearby and visited Farmingdale often as a boy (working part time during his summers off at Farmingdale
Agricultural College), he grew to love Farmingdale. He bought a home in Farmingdale at age 22 and still lives there today with his wife
and business partner, Joann.
Directly after graduating from Hofstra University Dave began a successful career in Market Research and Marketing. After 20+ years in
the NYC corporate world as VP at a Major Marketing consortium, with the recession looming, Dave left to create MARKETING
MASTERS NY. (Notably; he basically followed career advice from counseling at both Farmingdale Library and Farmingdale College’s
Small Business Development Counseling - SBDC). The goal was to utilize the same mentality that worked for the world’s largest clients
and apply it to help local smaller and midsize clients businesses.
Starting with just one local client; Dave worked tirelessly to make sure he helped grow the business. Along the way, he quickly learned
how Marketing was changing and strived to “master” all the modern digital marketing techniques earning certifications in Google
Adwords, Constant Contact and more.
Over the next few years, word spread and virtually all from referrals MMNY signed more clients; many in Farmingdale and eventually
FARMINGDALE VILLAGE.
His mission nowadays is branding Farmingdale as a Major LI destination.
Dave also serves on committees such as the Board of Farmingdale Chamber of Commerce and the Farmingdale Village Merchants
Association, and he routinely lectures at Farmingdale College’s SBDC. He can regularly be seen at New Business Ribbon Cuttings and
proudly marching down Main Street parades with the Chamber of Commerce.
On the side; Dave plays live music all over locally and also he loves dogs; he and Joann even baby sit many local pets: while teaching
them Marketing Skills and how to grow revenue for their owners!
Dave said, “I am extremely humbled and thankful to the Chamber for voting me as Small Businessperson of the Year. Joining the
Chamber was one of the first things I did when I started MARKETING MASTERS NY, and from the first day it was a great decision.
Working with such an awesome group of people who help make our community a better place continues to inspire me every day!”
Please join us to celebrate!
