Social change occurs through modifications in individual status and roles, which produces stresses and strains. There are several factors that can bring about social change, including technological, industrial, economic, ideological, and religious factors. None of these factors on their own is more prominent than the others in driving social change.

of modifications in status and role . It is believed that when
individuals are concerned with the modifications in status and
role , the streses and strains are produced in them and

about by a number of factors – technological , industrial ,
economical , ideological and religious .Among these we
cannot say that any one is more prominent than the others .
