The Perceptual Motor Programme (PMP) helps young children develop an understanding of themselves and their world through carefully sequenced motor activities that aim to establish automaticity of motor tasks in order to integrate the brain based on early childhood motor milestones and bridge the gap to formal learning. The PMP focuses on developing perceptions of self, space, and time through movement experiences and practicing actions repeatedly until they become automatic to aid in skills required for the classroom like reading, handwriting, and following instructions.
