This document discusses working with exponents and contains three examples. It explains the steps as: 1) setting up the numbers and exponents, 2) dividing/subtracting the exponents of like terms, and 3) writing the simplified expression in order. The last part is a unit reflection noting that the favorite part was the basic operations while putting exponents in order was the least favorite.

Step 1: well first u set up the numbers and the exponents so you wont mixed them up 130xxxyyyzz 13xyyyyyyz Step 3:Lastly after you divide the numbers and subtracted them you put them in there order. 10x2 z1 y2 Step 2: then you divide the top number and the bottom number so you would get only one single number. Also you subtract the numbers of the same variable so you simplify it. 130/13=10 X=3-1=2 Y=6-3=3 Z=2-1=1

3. 3m2n5p * 4m9n2p3= Step 1:well first you multiply the numbers that are there. 3*4=12 Step 3:after you set up the numbers you put them in a shorter way 12m7 n3 p2 Step 2:then you could set them up in a piece of paper and crossing the variables out or you could also subtracted the exponents by the same variables. M=9-2=7 N=5-2=3 P=3-1=2

4. Unit Reflection My favorite part of this unit was… doing the multiplication, dividing, subtracting, or adding because that’s the easy stuff. My least favorite part of this unit was…putting the exponents where they need to be.
