This paper disclose the entire approach to design an open circuit subsonic wind tunnel which will be used to consider the wind impact on the airfoil. The current rules and discoveries of the past research works were sought after for plan figuring of different segments of the wind tunnel. Wind speed of 26 m s have been practiced at the test territory. The wind qualities over a symmetrical airfoil are viewed as probably in a low speed wind tunnel. Tests were finished by moving the approach, from 0 to 5 degree. The stream attributes over a symmetrical airfoil are examined tentatively. The pressure distribution on the airfoil area was estimated, lift and drag force were estimated and velocity profiles were acquired. In present work, a compressor configuration is taken from literature which will be studied for aspect ratio (ratio between length of blade to chord length) influence over performance. Performance in the sense is pressure ratio of compressor. The aspect ratio of the blade is an important parameter and has a strong influence on the performance of axial flow compressor. There are so many literatures available on influence of design parameters of axial flow compressor over its performance. Few literatures only are available for effects of aspect ratio of blade over performance of compressor. A study is proposed to be carried out to verify the effect of aspect ratio on the performance of single stage subsonic compressor through ANSYS-CFX software. The analysis will be carried out for the constant tip diameter of the compressor rotor blade having an aspect ratio 1, 2 and 3 and to obtain the pressure loss and flow parameters of the compressor stage. Further increase in aspect ratio will lead to structural problem of compressor. Therefore, there will be optimum aspect ratio between 2 and 3. Simulation will be conducted to aspect ratios of 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, 2.4, 2.5, 2.6, 2.7, 2.8 and 2.9 to find optimum ratio using ANSYS-CFX commercial CFD software.

pressure recovery can increases the efficiency significantly.
Therefore diffusers are absolutely essential for good turbo
machinery performance. The geometric limitations in aircraft
applications where the diffusers need to be specially designed so
as to achieve maximum pressure recovery and avoiding flow
separation.

In this study, tangential and perpendicular steady blowing at the trailing edge of NACA 0012 airfoil is investigated numerically to flow separation control and to study the effects of blowing amplitude and blowing coefficient on airfoil aerodynamic characteristics. Flow was fully turbulent with the Reynolds number of 5105 and the turbulent employed model was the Menter’s shear stress model. Blowing on airfoil is modeled in tangential (tangential blowing) and perpendicular (perpendicular blowing) form and length of blowing jet is 3.5 percent of chord length. Considering previous studies, blowing jet is optimum in two distances on the airfoil surface, one around 40 percent and the other around 80 percent of chord length from the leading edge, which in this study blowing jet is placed at 80 percent of the chord length from the leading edge. Blowing velocity from 0.1 to 0.5 is considered of freestream velocity. Results of tangential blowing show that by increasing amplitude of blowing, lift and drag coefficients changes are inconsiderable. Maximum increase of lift to drag ratio in amplitude of 0.5, around 16.5 percent, but in perpendicular blowing lower amplitude of blowing is more appropriate. Also tangential blowing has no effect on stall angle and cause gradual stall of NACA 0012 airfoil, whereas perpendicular blowing improve stall angle from 14 to 16 degrees.

Aerodynamic Analysis of Low Speed Turbulent Flow Over A Delta WingIJRES Journal
Delta wing has been a subject of intense research since decades due to decades due to inherent characteristics of generating increased nonlinear lift due to vortex dominated flows. Lot of work has been carried out in order to understand the vortex dominated flows on the delta wing. The delta wing is a wing platform in the form of a triangle. Aerodynamics of wings with moderate sweep angle is recognized by the aerospace community as a challenging problem. In spite of its potential application in military aircraft, the understanding of the aerodynamics of such wings is far from complete. In order to address this situation, the present work is initiated to compute the 3D turbulent flow field over sharp edged finite wings with a diamond shaped plan forms and moderate sweep angle. The detailed flow pattern and surface pressure distribution may further indicate the appropriate kind of flow control during flight operation of such wings. The flow field is computed using an in-house developed CFD code RANS3D.

Laminar flow is defined when a fluid flows in parallel layers, with no
disruption between the layers. In comparison to this Turbulent flow
has a much more disorganized pattern, it is characterized by
mixing of the fluid by eddies of varying size within the flow.
The Reynolds number (Re), gives the measure for laminar and
turbulent flows. Laminar flow takes place when Reynolds number
is lower than 104, and for Turbulent flow the Re must be greater
than 3Ã-105.
The pressure is measured using the manometer, and then
therefore the pressure at the tapping must be the same as the
pressure head.
The cylinder being experimented on is placed in the wind tunnel.
The pressure upstream of the cylinder is sensed by a taping on the
tunnel wall and is connected to one of the tubes.

Abstract The Principle purpose of a nozzle is to accelerate the flow to higher exit velocities. The fluid acceleration is based on the design criteria and characteristics. To achieve good performance characteristics with minimum energy losses a nozzle must satisfy all the design requirements at all operating conditions. This is possible only when the nozzle theory is assumed to be isentropic irrespective of the changes in pressure, temperature and density which is generally caused due to formation of a Shock Wave. The thesis focuses on the design, development and optimization of a Supersonic Convergent-Divergent Nozzle where the analytical results are validated using theory calculations. The simulation work is carried out for CD Nozzles with different angles of divergence keeping the other inputs fixed. The objective of the proposed thesis is to show the best Expansion ratio, Nozzle Pressure ratio (NPR) and Nozzle Area Ratio(NAR) where the thrust obtained by the supersonic nozzle is maximum. The simulation is then repeated for expansion gas the results of which are later compared with standard air to show which possesses better performance characteristics. Analysis of dual bell rocket nozzle using computational fluid dynamicseSAT Journals
Abstract Concept of Altitude adaptive rocket nozzles recently received greater importance and interest in the space explorations and other such applications in space and rocket technology. The operations reliability of rocket launcher and the earth to orbit rocket launch are the crucial for the space transportation in the future. The performance of the engine components such as the power plant and the thrust delivery of the engine such as nozzles are in renovation for the greater performance and applicability for complex space applications. In the recent progress of the combustion expansion system the rocket nozzles are greatly revised from both application and design perspectives. One of such development is the dual bell nozzle. The publications indicate that the research on the concept of dual bell nozzle is tardy and there is no much progress from the inception of the idea. The specific application purpose designs are tested experimentally and implemented but the large scale development can only be possible if the generalized design parameters can be suggested. In the present paper one of such nozzle is selected and studied using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and the results are synthesized for bench marking the general approach to study the Dual Bell nozzles. The result shows the variation in the Mach number, pressure, temperature distribution and turbulence intensity. Modern aircraft engine designs are driven towards higher operating temperature and lower coolant flow requirements. During the flight mission, the hot gas path components encounter flows at different pressure, temperature and turbulence conditions. During design of such components, there is always an interest towards fundamental understanding of the impact of inlet turbulence on overall performance. The paper presents aerodynamic performance (stage efficiency) impact of stator inlet viscosity ratio, decay rate and length scales in a cooled turbine rig, based on CFD studies only. Through CFD studies, it is observed that an inlet length scale variation by 10 times could impact the aerodynamic efficiency by ~0.5% to 4% depending on the size of the length scale. Efficiency drops with higher flow length scales and turbulence intensity. The length scale effects are observed to be more predominant with high turbulence intensities than at low turbulence intensities. Similarly a viscosity ratio increase by 1000 times can decrease efficiency by < 0.5% in the lower bounds and can drastically increase to ~ 3% at higher bounds. The efficiency drop can be as much as 2.5 % for a decay rate change from 0.01 to 1 for viscosity ratio of 10000.

Investigation of buffet control on transonic airfoil by tangential jet blowingМурад Брутян
Two-dimensional steady-state and unsteady numerical simulations are carried out in the framework of
Reynolds averaged Navier-Stokes equations to characterize the buffet phenomenon on supercritical
transonic airfoil. Tangential jet blowing is investigated to delay buffet onset on the airfoil. In this case,
the jet of compressed air is blown continuously from small slot nozzle tangentially to wing upper
surface in the region of shock location to reduce shock-induced separation.
CFD and EXPERIMENTAL ANALYSIS of VORTEX SHEDDING BEHIND D-SHAPED CYLINDERAM Publications
The flow around bluff bodies is an area of great research of scientists for several years. Vortex shedding is
one of the most challenging phenomenon in turbulent flows. This phenomenon was first studied by Strouhal. Many
researchers have modeled the various objects as cylinders with different cross-sections among which square and
circular cylinders were the most interested sections to study the vortex shedding phenomenon. The Vortex Shedding
frequency depends on different aspects of the flow field such as the end conditions, blockage ratio of the flow passage,
and width to height ratio. This case studies the wave development behind a D-Shaped cylinder, at different Reynolds
numbers, for which we expect a vortex street in the wake of the D-Shaped cylinder, the well known as von Kármán
Street. This body typically serves some vital operational function in aerodynamic. In circular cylinder flow separation
point changes with Reynolds number but in D-Shaped cylinder there is fix flow separation point. So there is more
wake steadiness in D-Shaped cylinder as compared to Circular cylinder and drag reduction because of wake
steadiness.In the present work CFD simulation is carried out for flow past a D-Shaped cylinder to see the wake
behavior. The Reynolds number regime currently studied corresponds to low Reynolds number, laminar and

surface. The experimentation is carried out using small open type wind tunnel. The flow visualization is done by
smoke visualization technique. Results are presented for various B/H ratios and Reynolds numbers. The variation of
Strouhal number with Reynolds number is found from the analysis. The focus of the present research is on reducing
the wake unsteadiness.

Abstract Hydraulic spool valves are used in a variety of industrial equipment’s like earth moving machinery, aircrafts and machine tools etc. A hydraulic spool valve is a switching device used for controlling hydraulic devices. A spool valve can turn the flow of hydraulic fluid from a hydraulic pump to an actuator in forward or reverse directions or on and off by blocking offthe route of the fluid takes. A controller moves the valve back and forth in its case to slide the spools into different positions. As the spool moves across the inlet port, the port which is initially fully open, circular in shape and permitting the fluid flow, is getting closed gradually. Once the spool starts moving, the inlet port becomes non circular and continues to be so till closure. The shape and the area of the port that is still left open for the oil to flow is steadily changing. The area which is originally circular is becoming far away from circularity. It is required to study the flow in such port-spool combination. The purpose of the dissertation is to compute the flow for different port openings. ANSYS CFD FLOTRAN software is used to predict the flow characteristics. The exact flow path is simulated. The predicted results are compared with the analytical calculations. Control of Suddenly Expanded Flow at Low Supersonic Mach NumbersIJERA Editor
In the present study the experiments were conducted to control the base pressure from a convergent-divergent
nozzle at low supersonic Mach numbers to assess the effectiveness of active control mechanism in the form of
micro jets at different expansion level. The parameters considered in the present study are the diameter ratio,
length to diameter ratio (L/D), Nozzle Pressure Ratio (NPR), and the Mach number. The diameter ratio selected
for the present study are 1.6, 1.8, 2.2, and 2.5. Experiments were conducted for nozzle pressure ratio (NPR)
from 3 to 11. The L/D ratio of the enlarged duct was varied from 10 to 1, and results are presented for L/D 4, 3,
2, and 1. The Mach numbers of the present studies are 1.1, 1.2, 1.4, and 1.5. The results show that the Micro jets
are very effective and are able to raise the base pressure value to a considerable level under the influence of
favorable pressure gradient except at lower NPR 3. At NPRs 5 and 7 for some cases the trends differ due to the
level of expansion, nature of waves present in the base region, relief available to the flow, L/D ratio of the
enlarged duct and the Mach numbers. It is seen that most of the cases exhibit similar behavior for the L/Ds in
the range 4 and 3, which means; that the back pressure has not adversely influenced the flow field in the base
region as well as in the duct. The minimum duct length required for the flow to be attached is L/D = 2, even
though in some cases flow is attached with duct wall. With this it can be stated that the micro jets can be an
alternative for the for base pressure control.
Flow Development through a Duct and a Diffuser Using CFDIJERA Editor
In the present paper an extensive study of rectangular cross-sectioned C-duct and C-diffuser is made by the help of 2-D mean velocity contours. Study of flow characteristics through constant area duct is a fundamental research area of basic fluid mechanics since the concepts of potential flow and frictional losses in conduit flow were established. C-ducts are used in aircraft intakes, combustors, internal cooling systems of gas turbines, ventilation ducts, wind tunnels etc., while diffuser is mechanical device usually made in the form of a gradual conical expander intended to raise the static pressure of the fluid flowing through it. Flow through curved ducts is more complex compared to straight duct due to the curvature of the duct axis and centrifugal forces are induced on the flowing fluid resulting in the development of secondary motion (normal to the primary flow direction) which is manifested in the form of a pair of contra-rotating vortices. For a diffuser in addition to the secondary flow, the diverging flow passage, which causes an adverse stream wise pressure gradient, can lead to flow separation. The combined effect may result n non uniformity of total pressure and total pressure loss at the exit. A comparative study of different turbulent models available in the Fluent using y as guidance in selecting the appropriate grid configuration and turbulence models are done. Standard k-ε model and RSM models are used to solve the closure problem for both the constant area duct and the diffuser. It has been observed that the Standard k-e model predicts the flow through the constant area duct and the diffuser within a reasonable domain ofthe y range.
Head Loss Estimation for Water Jets from Flip Bucketstheijes
Water jet issued from flip bucket at the end of the spillway of a dam can be a threat for the stability and safety of the dam body due to subsequent scour at the impingement point. However, a strong jet from the flip bucket interacts with the surrounding air and develops into an aerated turbulent jet while the jet impact and scouring effect is reduced significantly. Aeration of the jet, at the same time, cause head losses along the trajectory. An experimental study is conducted to measure the trajectory lengths and investigate the effect of water depth in the river on the dynamic pressures acted on the river bed. The trajectory lengths with and without air entrainment are calculated using empirical equations and compared with the measurements. Head losses due to air entrainment are determined using the difference of the trajectory lengths with and without aeration, based on the projectile motion theory. Numerical simulation of the flow over the spillway, along the flip bucket and the jet trajectory is made and the results are compared with the experimental data. It is observed that trajectory lengths obtained from experiments, numerical simulation and empirical formulas are comparable with negligible differences. This allows us to combine alternate approaches to determine the trajectory lengths with and without air entrainment and estimate the head losses accordingly.

Abstract This experimental study is to investigate the effect or influence of pedestal vortex generator on one wall of rectangular duct on the flow performance. The effects of geometrical parameters of pedestal vortex generator and aspect ratio of duct on friction factor ratio have resulted in Reynolds number which is based on hydraulic diameter of the rectangular channel in the range 8000 to 24000. The factors which are varied for vortex generator were pitch to height ratio of vortex generator (p/h) and aspect ratios of vortex generators (Δ). Vortex generator numbers were also varied on wall at axial locations. Experimental results reported for aspect ratio 2.8, 5.5, 7.3 and 1.6 of pedestal vortex generator and pitch to height ratio (P/h) 4,8,12, 16. And 8000 to 24000 is the range of Reynolds number. Experimentally investigated that the friction factor ratio increases with increase in Reynolds number and friction factor ratio increases with decrease in pitch to height ratio. For pedestal vortex generator with aspect ratio 2.8 and height 8mm the results were, For pitch to height ratio (P/h)=16 friction factor ratio for 8000 Reynolds number is 27.12% less than the friction factor ratio for the Reynolds number 24000. So it is clear that friction factor ratio increases with increase in Reynolds number. And for Reynolds number 20000, pitch to height ratio (P/h) =4 friction factor ratio is 21.14% greater than pitch to height ratio (P/h)=16 so we can say that friction factor ratio increases with decrease in pitch to height ratio. This paper deals with the numerical analysis of 3d model which has inlet port diameter 46mm,valve diameter 43mm and the length and diameter of the cy linder is 562mm and 93.65mm respectively which is developed to study the effect of valve lif t on the flow of fluid inside the cylinder. For different valve lifts velocity will change inside t he cylinder. Results of CFD simulation indicated th at valve lift affects velocity flow field inside the c ylinder. It also proved that CFD is a convenient to ol for designing and optimizing the flow field in the engine.

Abstract Impeller is a very important element in rotating devices to deliver energy to/from the fluid. The diffusers are essential for effective transformation of the kinetic power produced by the rotor in a centrifugal fan. Hence the flow in the impeller and diffuser passages is the important phenomenon in optimizing the performance. These impeller and diffuser flow passages are the most complex regions to predict the flow behavior. With the advanced development of Particle Image Velocimetry as well as convenient numerical CFD tools, it has become possible to reach at an accurate result well-matched with the real behavior of the flow. Hence, in this work moving mesh technique is used to get a numerical solution for the estimation of actual flow manner. Numerous research works have been done recently to get the physics of fluid flow through impeller and diffuser, both numerically and experimentally. But it is found from the literature that the study on the performance of the fan by changing the number of impeller and diffuser blades together in a combination has not been the emphasis of attention in these works. Hence a numerical analysis has been carried out in this paper to comprehensively lookout the fluid interaction in impeller-diffuser as well as to envisage the flow behavior of the fan by changing the number of impeller and diffuser blades together in combination. For the same number of impeller blades, it is found from the analysis that a higher static pressure rise coefficient is achieved at the outlet of the fan for smaller number of diffuser blades. It is also found that larger the number of impeller blades, larger is the static pressure rise coefficient for the same number of diffuser blades, hence performance gets improved. Numerical analysis for two phase flow distribution headers in heat exchangerseSAT Journals
Abstract A flow header having number of multiple small branch pipes are commonly used in heat exchangers and boilers. In beginning the headers were designed based on the assumption that the fluid distribute equally to all lateral pipes. In practical situation the flow is not uniform and equal in all lateral pipes. Mal distribution of flow in heat exchangers significantly affects their performance. Non-uniform flow distribution from header to the branch pipes in a flow system will lead to 25% decrease in effectiveness of a cross flow heat exchanger. Mal distribution of flow in the header is influenced by the geometric parameters and operating conditions of the header. In this work the flow distribution among the branch pipes of dividing flow header system is analyzed for two phase flow condition. In the two phase flow condition, the effect of change in geometric cross sectional shape of the header (circular, square), inlet flow velocities are varied to find the flow mal distribution through the lateral pipes are investigated with the use of Computational Fluid Dynamics software. Background and Objective Telehealth has become a well known tool for the delivery of health care in Saudi Arabia, and the perspective and knowledge of healthcare providers are influential in the implementation, adoption and advancement of the method. This systematic review was conducted to examine the current literature base regarding telehealth and the related healthcare professional perspective and knowledge in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Materials and Methods This systematic review was conducted by searching 7 databases including, MEDLINE, CINHAL, Web of Science, Scopus, PubMed, PsycINFO, and ProQuest Central. Studies on healthcare practitioners telehealth knowledge and perspectives published in English in Saudi Arabia from 2000 to 2023 were included. Boland directed this comprehensive review. The researchers examined each connected study using the AXIS tool, which evaluates cross sectional systematic reviews. Narrative synthesis was used to summarise and convey the data. Results Out of 1840 search results, 10 studies were included. Positive outlook and limited knowledge among providers were seen across trials. Healthcare professionals like telehealth for its ability to improve quality, access, and delivery, save time and money, and be successful. Age, gender, occupation, and work experience also affect health workers knowledge. In Saudi Arabia, healthcare professionals face inadequate expert assistance, patient privacy, internet connection concerns, lack of training courses, lack of telehealth understanding, and high costs while performing telemedicine. Conclusions Healthcare practitioners telehealth perceptions and knowledge were examined in this systematic study. Its collection of concerned experts different personal attitudes and expertise would help enhance telehealths implementation in Saudi Arabia, develop its healthcare delivery alternative, and eliminate frequent problems. Online Voices, Offline Impact Ambedkars Ideals and Socio Political Inclusion ...ijtsrd
This research investigates the nexus between online discussions on Dr. B.R. Ambedkars ideals and their impact on social inclusion among college students in Gurugram, Haryana. Surveying 240 students from 12 government colleges, findings indicate that 65 actively engage in online discussions, with 80 demonstrating moderate to high awareness of Ambedkars ideals. Statistically significant correlations reveal that higher online engagement correlates with increased awareness p 0.05 and perceived social inclusion. Variations across colleges and a notable effect of college type on perceived social inclusion highlight the influence of contextual factors. Furthermore, the intersectional analysis underscores nuanced differences based on gender, caste, and socio economic status. The Role of Mentoring and Its Influence on the Effectiveness of the Teaching ...ijtsrd
This paper reports on a study which was conducted to investigate the role of mentoring and its influence on the effectiveness of the teaching of Physics in secondary schools in the South West Region of Cameroon. The study adopted the convergent parallel mixed methods design, focusing on respondents in secondary schools in the South West Region of Cameroon. Both quantitative and qualitative data were collected, analysed separately, and the results were compared to see if the findings confirm or disconfirm each other. The quantitative analysis found that majority of the respondents 72 of Physics teachers affirmed that they had more experienced colleagues as mentors to help build their confidence, improve their teaching, and help them improve their effectiveness and efficiency in guiding learners’ achievements. Only 28 of the respondents disagreed with these statements. With majority respondents 72 agreeing with the statements, it implies that in most secondary schools, experienced Physics teachers act as mentors to build teachers’ confidence in teaching and improving students’ learning. The interview qualitative data analysis summarized how secondary school Principals use meetings with mentors and mentees to promote mentorship in the school milieu. This has helped strengthen teachers’ classroom practices in secondary schools in the South West Region of Cameroon. With the results confirming each other, the study recommends that mentoring should focus on helping teachers employ social interactions and instructional practices feedback and clarity in teaching that have direct measurable impact on students’ learning achievements. This study primarily focuses on the design of a high side buck converter using an Arduino microcontroller. The converter is specifically intended for use in DC DC applications, particularly in standalone solar PV systems where the PV output voltage exceeds the load or battery voltage. To evaluate the performance of the converter, simulation experiments are conducted using Proteus Software. These simulations provide insights into the input and output voltages, currents, powers, and efficiency under different state of charge SoC conditions of a 12V,70Ah rechargeable lead acid battery. Additionally, the hardware design of the converter is implemented, and practical data is collected through operation, monitoring, and recording. By comparing the simulation results with the practical results, the efficiency and performance of the designed converter are assessed. The findings indicate that while the buck converter is suitable for practical use in standalone PV systems, its efficiency is compromised due to a lower output current. Energy becomes sustainable if it meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. Some of the definitions of sustainable energy include the considerations of environmental aspects such as greenhouse gas emissions, social, and economic aspects such as energy poverty. Generally far more sustainable than fossil fuel are renewable energy sources such as wind, hydroelectric power, solar, and geothermal energy sources. Worthy of note is that some renewable energy projects, like the clearing of forests to produce biofuels, can cause severe environmental damage. The sustainability of nuclear power which is a low carbon source is highly debated because of concerns about radioactive waste, nuclear proliferation, and accidents. The switching from coal to natural gas has environmental benefits, including a lower climate impact, but could lead to delay in switching to more sustainable options. “Carbon capture and storage” can be built into power plants to remove the carbon dioxide CO2 emissions, but this technology is expensive and has rarely been implemented. Leading non renewable energy sources around the world is fossil fuels, coal, petroleum, and natural gas. Nuclear energy is usually considered another non renewable energy source, although nuclear energy itself is a renewable energy source, but the material used in nuclear power plants is not. This paper aims to outline the executive regulations, survey standards, and specifications required for the implementation of the Sudan Survey Act, and for regulating and organizing all surveying work activities in Sudan. The act has been discussed for more than 5 years. The Land Survey Act was initiated by the Sudan Survey Authority and all official legislations were headed by the Sudan Ministry of Justice till it was issued in 2022. The paper presents conceptual guidelines to be used for the Survey Act implementation and to regulate the survey work practice, standardizing the field surveys, processing, quality control, procedures, and the processes related to survey work carried out by the stakeholders and relevant authorities in Sudan. The conceptual guidelines are meant to improve the quality and harmonization of geospatial data and to aid decision making processes as well as geospatial information systems. The established comprehensive executive regulations will govern and regulate the implementation of the Sudan Survey Geomatics Act in all surveying and mapping practices undertaken by the Sudan Survey Authority SSA and state local survey departments for public or private sector organizations. The targeted standards and specifications include the reference frame, projection, coordinate systems, and the guidelines and specifications that must be followed in the field of survey work, processes, and mapping products. Towards the Implementation of the Sudan Interpolated Geoid Model Khartoum Sta...ijtsrd
The discussions between ellipsoid and geoid have invoked many researchers during the recent decades, especially during the GNSS technology era, which had witnessed a great deal of development but still geoid undulation requires more investigations. To figure out a solution for Sudans local geoid, this research has tried to intake the possibility of determining the geoid model by following two approaches, gravimetric and geometrical geoid model determination, by making use of GNSS leveling benchmarks at Khartoum state. The Benchmarks are well distributed in the study area, in which, the horizontal coordinates and the height above the ellipsoid have been observed by GNSS while orthometric heights were carried out using precise leveling. The Global Geopotential Model GGM represented in EGM2008 has been exploited to figure out the geoid undulation at the benchmarks in the study area. This is followed by a fitting process, that has been done to suit the geoid undulation data which has been computed using GNSS leveling data and geoid undulation inspired by the EGM2008. Two geoid surfaces were created after the fitting process to ensure that they are identical and both of them could be counted for getting the same geoid undulation with an acceptable accuracy. In this respect, statistical operation played an important role in ensuring the consistency and integrity of the model by applying cross validation techniques splitting the data into training and testing datasets for building the geoid model and testing its eligibility. The geometrical solution for geoid undulation computation has been utilized by applying straightforward equations that facilitate the calculation of the geoid undulation directly through applying statistical techniques for the GNSS leveling data of the study area to get the common equation parameters values that could be utilized to calculate geoid undulation of any position in the study area within the claimed accuracy. Both systems were checked and proved eligible to be used within the study area with acceptable accuracy which may contribute to solving the geoid undulation problem in the Khartoum area, and be further generalized to determine the geoid model over the entire country, and this could be considered in the future, for regional and continental geoid model. in which subsonic wind tunnel is located. This is a low speed
open type wind tunnel. Airfoil used is mounted in the center
of test section. It has complete 21 in harmony, expanded the
full width of the passage. A handle outsideof thewind tunnel
and appended to the airfoil was utilized to change the
approach. This was resolved utilizing a protractor
additionally mounted outwardly of the test area. For
measuring free stream velocity a pitot tube is used. A multi
meter manometer is used to note pressure at various
pressure taps on airfoil.

4. EXPERIMENTAL PROCEDURE AND CALCULATION
Firstly, free stream velocity is calculated by measuringstatic
pressure and stagnation pressure (total pressure)
Pt = Ps+ (ρV2/2)
U = √ [2(pt - ps)/ρ]
The airfoil was set at a 0 degree approach and the wind
tunnel worked at around required speed. The pressure at
each pressure taps on the airfoil is noted which are further
used to calculate coefficient of pressure. By knowing free
stream velocity Reynolds Number could be calculated,
Re=U*c/ν where u is free stream velocity, c is chord length
and ν is kinematic viscosity.
As free stream velocity has been found, Mach number could
be achieved
M=free stream velocity/speed of sound

4.1 MEASUREMENT OF LIFT AND DRAG
Drag force is the force that opposes the development of a
strong article through a fluid. The drag force is made up of
frictional force and pressure force components acting along
the direction of flow, coordinated everywhere throughout
the outside of the body. The drag force is particularlysubject
to the state of the body that outcomes in confused formulae
for drag force. Hence, the drag equation is utilizing the drag
coefficient approach. In this methodology the drag force is
related to the stagnation pressure ½ρU2/2 and uncovered
territory A. The uncovered territory is taken as anticipated
zone parallel to fluid stream for comfort. The relationship is

Fd = ½CdAρU2/2
where Cd is coefficient of drag, ρ is density of fluid, A is

If the body is symmetric about the direction of flow or vice

only drag force act on the body. If the plate is having some
angle of attack, a vertical component of resultant force acts
which is called lift force, which is calculated as

where Cl is coefficient of lift.
4.2 CALCULATION OF COEFFICIENT OF PRESSURE
It defines relative pressure in fluid flow. It is defined
Cp = change in static pressure/dynamic pressure
Cp =2(P2-P1)/ ρU2
where P2 is atmospheric pressure and P1 ispressureateach
pressure tap.

4.3 DISTRIBUTION OF COEFFICIENT OF PRESSURE
The weight coefficient of the airfoil's upper surface was
negative and the lower surface was certain, alongtheselines
lift drive on airfoil is upward way. We can in like manner see
that coefficient of weight distinction is significantly greater
on the front edge, while on the back edge it is much lower,
consequently showing that the lift power of the airfoil of the
airfoil is generally made from the front edge.
5. VALIDATION OF RESULTS AND DISCUSSIONS
The analysis is done for 0 degree approach. The static
pressure plot and velocity plot are used for analysis.

6. CONCLUSIONS AND FUTURE SCOPE
With the assistance of CFD software ANSYS-Fluent, effective
examination of streamlined execution of airfoil areahasbeen
conveyed at 0 degree approach utilizing k-epsilon viscous
model. The pressure coefficient on upper surface was
negative and positive on lower surface, in this way lift on
airfoil is upward way. The coefficient of pressure difference
is a lot bigger on the front edge while on the trailing edge it
was much lower.. The graph of coefficient of lift obtained
signifies that lift first increases on leading edge and then
becomes constant moving towards trailing edge. As angle of
attack is taken 0 degree value of lift obtained is very low.
Experimental values differ from validation values due to
difference in geometry and dimension of enclosure i.e. test
section.
This test could be performed later on different geometries
like spherical body, cylindrical body, buildings,automobiles,
etc under different stream velocity.
