The purpose was to determine what metacognition was and how it affects us. The two
hypothesis of this paper were: uncertainty about academic performance is negatively
related to the overall metacognitive awareness inventory (MAI) score and that the
MAI factor Knowledge about cognition is more highly related to uncertainty about
academic performance when compared to the MAI factor Regulation of cognition.
Students in a first year undergraduate psychology class filled out surveys to
determine their MAI scores and rated their uncertainty of academic performance on a

in that uncertainty was negatively related to the overall MAI score and the MAI

Growing up in a society that has strict rules and traditions in the 1800 s, Wharton

societal rules and traditions. Edith Wharton grew up in New York Cityand spent most
her life there. She met her husband, Edward Wharton there and continued writing
other novels as well. Later on, she divorced him, but had two men who were

We wanted to know how the television show Duck Dynasty became such a big part
of popular culture especially in the field of merchandising. We looked through web
articles about how the Robertson s family created an empire, what visual
merchandising is and its effects on Duck Dynasty merchandising, the politics they
have encountered so far, and the stereotypes they have revised and created. We
found that visual merchandising is one of the reasons the Robertson is so
successful, and that politics don t faze them; for they follow the Lord in all things.
We also found that the stereotype of the country boy has turned to redneck and that
beards is no longer just a symbol of masculinity but one of success thanks to the
Robertson family and ZZ Top. Based on the findings we are able to say that none of
these stereotypes are changing any time soon, or that the Duck Dynasty television

there is one thing all of the designs of today have in common and that is the word
BAUHAUS. Bauhaus was a German art school started by Walter Gropiusand open for
about fourteen years. The impact Bauhaus has on our lives today causes the Bauhaus
to live on everyday, not as a German art school but as a movement and an ideal to
live by. When thinking of Bauhaus the words form follows function comes to mind
and catering not only to the rich but to the masses with the focus on mass production.

importance of unique designs was first noticed during the year of 1923 of the
Bauhaus s existence. People realised the impact it could have when visual
communication where combining text in various ways like using lower and upper

The Bauhaus school of art decided to leave behind the decorative style of creating
and followed a design approach that was more simplistic. Anything that didn t have a
function or purpose when designing was left out of the whole design process. The
Bauhaus taught their students not to only be experts in one craft but to become
