Current state of public elections ,[object Object],[object Object],Handwritten signatures used to confirm registration at the polling stations or given in support of presidential candidates or political parties invite counterfeiting on both sides as reliable verification of thousands of signatures is impossible. Side effects of unreliable election technologies: unrest in Georgia, Kenya, Zimbabwe, Iran, Gabon and other countries. Authoritarian rulers encourage machinations to stay in power, and their political opposition uses flaws in the electoral system as pretext to denounce election results and incite violence.
