1. Everything you need to know about RPL
Want to get your experience recognised but unsure of the process? No worries!
We’ve got you covered with everything you’ll ever need to know about the RPL
process, and how to successfully convert your experience into a nationally
recognised qualification.
What is Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)?
Developed by the Australian Government in the late 1990s, Recognition of Prior
Learning (RPL) is a direct evaluation process which gets you the qualifications you
merit by assessing your aptitudes, information and experience.
By finishing a self-evaluation, what's more, giving important supporting proof, you
can accomplish a Nationally Perceived Qualification in a matter of weeks through
our various Registered Training Organisation (RTO) partners.
A direct appraisal process which gets you the qualifications you deserve by
exploring your abilities and work experience.
The RPL Process
Determine your eligibility for RPL Australia by conducting a Skills Review. When it’s
completed, you’ll have a discussion with an RPL specialist who will walk you
through the process and any all your questions.
After you identify the qualifications you’re eligible for, it’s time to get started! You’ll
receive a welcome call from your appointed Account Manager who will also then
send a number of documents for you to begin.
Your Account Manager will work with you to gather your supporting evidence.
Going through all of your work experience and determining suitable evidence,
assisting you throughout.
We organise and compile your evidence in line with the units of your sought after
qualification. Once complete we can submit your portfolio to one of our RTO
partners.
The RPL Process is complete, provided you meet the requirements of each unit.
You’re then issued with a Nationally Recognised Qualification from the RTO
(Registered Training Organisation). Congratulations!
2. Evidence
Some examples of the evidence you can provide to prove your experience are:

Evidence Rules
Genuine - You’ll want to ensure that all evidence is your own work and that
it’s apparent that it’s yours. Plagiarism or using work of other people will not
be accepted.
Current - When providing evidence, it’s important that it’s from either the
present or recent past. Any longer and it might not be considered relevant.
3. Sufficient - This identifies the quantity and quality of the evidence provided.
You need to guarantee you have enough proof so that all parts of competency
are fulfilled.

TAFE- Under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF), you are entitled to an
AQF qualification without further study or training if you can demonstrate that you
already possess the skills that are taught in the AQF qualification you want to
obtain.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is a process that assesses your skills to
determine whether you meet the requirements for any AQF qualification. You can
obtain RPL for a AQF qualification in full or in part.
How do we assess skills? Skills can be acquired:
through work experience; and/or
by past study, even if you didn’t graduate or finish the course.
