The document discusses the various technologies used to create a magazine product. It summarizes the use of different cameras, Apple Macs, design software like Photoshop and InDesign, presentation programs, blogger, font websites, and research websites. The key lessons were that a Nikon camera produced high quality images, Apple Macs made editing and organizing easy, Photoshop was better for image editing while InDesign pulled everything together, and the overall process of using these technologies to construct the magazine was fairly easy to learn.

We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.
1. Evaluation Question 6
What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?
2. Camera
The camera i used to take my images for my front cover was a Nikon Camera borrowed
from college. It was a professional camera, and with a few practise images, the camera
Was easy to workout. The high quality of the camera created the images to be of a high
quality which made my images look professional.
For my contents page images, I originally used a canon camera borrowed from college, but
the images came out blurry. Therefore, i had to used my samsung phone camera. Which
didn’t make the image of a high quality.
For my double page spread images, I used my Iphone camera as i was unable to
borrow a camera from college. The images came out well and looked to be of a
high quality considering it was a phone camera.
(I used a USB cable and a SD card to transfer my images from the phones and
cameras).
Overall, if i was to recreate the images for my magazine, i would use a Nikon camera
To make all of my images look professional.
3. Apple Mac
I transfered all my images onto an apple mac with a USB
and an SD card. I found it easy to use an apple mac as i
have used one before. I also used an apple mac as it has
programmes such as photoshop and indesign. I liked the
apple macs as they were easy to function and edit what I
needed to edit within my magazine.
4. Indesign and Photoshop
I used photoshop for my front cover and contents page of my magazine. I had a
basic idea of how to use photoshop as i had previously used it before. However, i
had to research certain instructions in order to find out how to edit specific parts of
my magazine. I believe I liked photoshop better than indesign as in my opinion, it
was a lot easier to use to edit the product. (photoshop is an editing programme
where you can edit images, text etc).
I used indesign to edit my double page spread, but to also put all of my magazine
together (front cover, contents page and double page spread). After one failed
attempt of a double page spread, i created a more professional looking double
page spread, therefore i liked indesign, but it was a lot harder to use than
photoshop. (indesign is an editor and an organiser in order to make work look
professional).
5. Presentation programmes
I used a series of different presentation programmes such as; Prezi,
emaze, google docs, google slides, powerpoint and word document.
Even though i thought that most of these programmes was a great
way to present my work, prezi and google slides were my favourite
because they were easy to construct and interesting to create
different formats.
However, my least favourite programme was emaze as it was very
hard to use, therefore i believe i only used it twice.
(To be able to embed my word, powerpoint, google docs and google
slides into my blog, i used slideshare- this was easy to use).
6. Blogger
Blogger.com is a programme i used to show all of my work, research and my
product. It allows people to ‘blog’ or set up their own page to present items.
Therefore i used it as it was a simple way to track my own work.
I enjoyed using blogger as it was easy to use, but the layout was also good as you
could check something quickly without having to scroll a lot to find what i needed.
7. Dafont.com
Dafont.com is a website where you can view and use different fonts. It is totally
legal and free. There is a wide range of fonts that you can use for your own
products and they are easy to download or screenshot into your item. The website
is easy to use as it is set out in different categories therefore being able to navigate
your way very quickly.
I used this website for most of the text within my magazine, However, for the
content of the double page spread, i used the fonts provided in indesign.
8. Websites
I used; youtube, nme.com, pinterest, blogger and google
images.
I used youtube to get inspiration for my magazine article as
it is an easy way to access video interviews of celebrities.
I used nme.com to discover the right target audience for
there magazine and to contrast that against mine.
I used pinterest to find images of ideas and inspiration of
the costumes i wanted to use within my magazine.
I also used google images to find images for my research,
again to find drafts and inspiration of other magazines.
9. Overall
Overall, i was pretty impressed as to how easy it was to work out the technology for
making my magazine product. The process took a while as i wanted to make it look
every professional and effective. I also didn’t need much help from anyone when
using it.
If i was to recreate my magazine, i would use the same technology again as I
enjoyed using it.
