FILMING EQUIPMENT
We filmed the entirety of our music
video on a canon 600D dslr camera. This
allowed us to take high quality videos,
making the production look more
professional than if we had used a
standard sony camcorder. We also used
the camera to take photos of us on
location as evidence of our filming.
For all of the static shots we had in
the music video, we used a velbon
tripod. This reduced the amount of
“Shaky cam” in our music video,
which would have taken the
audience out of the action and
narrative we were trying to convey.
FILMING EQUIPMENT… CONT’D
To film all of our vlogs when out in
location, we had a separate person
filming with an Ipone 6s to record what
we were doing. In doing this, we could
cut all of the footage together and put it
on youtube without having to use a
proper editing software/
For our preliminary task we used the Sony
camcorder. We found that the footage appeared
to be more grainy than on the camera we used
for our year 12 AS opening sequence so decided
to use that camera to shoot our actual music
video. We did, however, use the camcorder to
record all of our audience feedback as well
POST PRODUCTION
For all of the editing process, we used
Sony Vegas Pro12. by using this
particular software, we had access to a
variety of professional standard
features and effects, allowing us to
create a mature and realistic music
video
As mentioned previously, we used youtubes own editing software to edit all of our vlog
posts. We also put all of the videos we created throughout the year on the website,
allowing us to get feedback from the online community and also track how well the
music video is doing by looking at how many times its being viewed and the amount of
likes/dislikes its get
ting
POST PRODUCTION… CONT’D
We used both Canva and VSCO to
edit and manipulate the images
used in our digipack and
magazine poster. The softwares
allowed us to filter and project
the images with custom fonts to
add to our brand identity and
increase synergy.
RESEARCH, PLANNING AND EVALUATION
We used WordPress as our choice of
blog website. The website has
features such as being able to
embed documents and videos from
Prezi, Slideshare and YouTube
allowing us to have a variety of
documents on show for our blog.
Google was used for a lot of the
research stage in order to find
out more about popular music
video theorist and also find out
about the conventions of our
music video genre.
RESEARCH, PLANNING AND EVALUATION… CONT’D
Slideshare (and as a necessary component,
PowerPoint) Have been used repeatedly
throughout my blog as way to present my files in
a different and interesting way.it also allows me
to be able to share my blog posts with a wider
audience and receive feedback on whether or
not my posts are to a good standard or not.
Much like Slideshare, Prezi was used as a way for me
to vary how my blog posts looked and present them
in a new and interesting way. Prezi in particular was
used for my magazine poster analysis as you can
zoom in on each component of what made that
poster successful, making it more clear on what
you're talking about.

  • 2. FILMING EQUIPMENT We filmed the entirety of our music video on a canon 600D dslr camera. This allowed us to take high quality videos, making the production look more professional than if we had used a standard sony camcorder. We also used the camera to take photos of us on location as evidence of our filming. For all of the static shots we had in the music video, we used a velbon tripod. This reduced the amount of “Shaky cam” in our music video, which would have taken the audience out of the action and narrative we were trying to convey.
  • 3. FILMING EQUIPMENT… CONT’D To film all of our vlogs when out in location, we had a separate person filming with an Ipone 6s to record what we were doing. In doing this, we could cut all of the footage together and put it on youtube without having to use a proper editing software/ For our preliminary task we used the Sony camcorder. We found that the footage appeared to be more grainy than on the camera we used for our year 12 AS opening sequence so decided to use that camera to shoot our actual music video. We did, however, use the camcorder to record all of our audience feedback as well

POST PRODUCTION For all of the editing process, we used Sony Vegas Pro12. by using this particular software, we had access to a variety of professional standard features and effects, allowing us to create a mature and realistic music video As mentioned previously, we used youtubes own editing software to edit all of our vlog posts. We also put all of the videos we created throughout the year on the website, allowing us to get feedback from the online community and also track how well the music video is doing by looking at how many times its being viewed and the amount of likes/dislikes its get ting
  • 5. POST PRODUCTION… CONT’D We used both Canva and VSCO to edit and manipulate the images used in our digipack and magazine poster. The softwares allowed us to filter and project the images with custom fonts to add to our brand identity and increase synergy.
  • 6. RESEARCH, PLANNING AND EVALUATION We used WordPress as our choice of blog website. The website has features such as being able to embed documents and videos from Prezi, Slideshare and YouTube allowing us to have a variety of documents on show for our blog. Google was used for a lot of the research stage in order to find out more about popular music video theorist and also find out about the conventions of our music video genre.
  • 7. RESEARCH, PLANNING AND EVALUATION… CONT’D Slideshare (and as a necessary component, PowerPoint) Have been used repeatedly throughout my blog as way to present my files in a different and interesting way.it also allows me to be able to share my blog posts with a wider audience and receive feedback on whether or not my posts are to a good standard or not. Much like Slideshare, Prezi was used as a way for me to vary how my blog posts looked and present them in a new and interesting way. Prezi in particular was used for my magazine poster analysis as you can zoom in on each component of what made that poster successful, making it more clear on what you're talking about.
