Throughout the project, the student used various digital technologies for construction, research, planning, and evaluation. For construction, they used Blogger to share their work and link to their YouTube music video. For research, they used Prezi to display audience research and profiles. In planning, Prezi was used to share a storyboard. Evaluation questions were shared on Blogger, YouTube, Prezi, and PowerPoint. Photoshop and Illustrator were used for designs. Cameras, Final Cut Express, and YouTube were also important technologies used at different stages.

We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.
Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.
1. Evaluation Question 4:
How did you use media
technologies in the construction,
research, planning and
evaluation stages?
2. Blogger
Throughout the entire year I have used this website in order to display and share all
my work. Therefore this digital technology has been beneficial in all aspects. For
construction, it provides a base for my music video which includes it’s link to
YouTube. This makes my music video more accessible due to the audience I have
already established on my blog and all these people will then be able to view my
video. My blog acts as a page for my chosen artist as well and will be found by fans of
his music. This is effective due to the audience research that features on it and
therefore will appeal to them. It also includes pieces on other artists which I have
done in my research, these include Jake Bugg who is a current artist. Therefore I
have used this digital technology to not only boost my audience but also widen the
range of who will be seeing my work and will therefore boost the popularity of my
chosen artist. In terms of planning the only aspect really is my storyboard which I
made by hand and then used my iPhone 6 to take images of it to put it into a Prezi,
from this I then embedded this on my blog, as shown in the top image, This uses a
combination of digital technologies in order for people to see exactly what stage I
was at. For my evaluation it is key as it allows me to share in all the different formats
for my four questions. Overall I have chosen to use this website as a key piece of
digital technology in order to make my work easily accessible by the examiners and
also due to its versatility in how I can embed various formats of work on there with
ease in order to make my work more creative and appealing to a viewer.
3. Prezi
• I have used Prezi over the course of the year to display my work creatively and in an effective
way which is compatible with my other digital technology Blogger. The process is fairly simply
and provides an adverse way of getting across information.
• I have used this across various sections of my coursework including research, planning and
evaluation:
• Research- For my research I used this in order to display all of my audience research, such as
my questionnaire analysis, which was very effective in displaying graphs. I also used this
digital technology to display my audience profile and how I established my target audience.
This also incorporated other digital technologies including social media. This represents how I
mixed various technologies to make certain I had the right audience in mind.
• In terms of my planning, I used this website to display my storyboard, this would allow people
to see my initial plans for my video. Even though my final production differed the Prezi was
beneficial in order to run through the original story it was based upon.
• Evaluation- In order to get all the formats on my evaluation questions I used this digital
technology for question 2.
• Overall the use of Prezi has added creativity and mixed up my presentation of information
throughout the course and is more appealing to an audience who will appreciate the
background images that I was able to incorporate that relate to the artist, as shown in the
images beside.
4. YouTube
• The video sharing website YouTube has been very useful throughout the year of A2 in
more than one areas of my production. The most obvious being the way I can now share
my final production with a large audience by just sharing it on this website. This website is
also very effective in how I can directly post my video on my blog from the links sections. I
also tried to post my video on Vimeo, another site similar to YouTube, although in order to
post video the size of mine you had to pay. This is why I have chosen to use YouTube, as
it’s free and has a vastly superior audience. This digital technology will allow me to boost
my audience and also allow my primary and more so my secondary audience to see the
video. I say more so due to the fact my secondary audience are younger and class E
students, traditional segmentation model, who are fans of the current indie genre.
YouTube is effective in how it gives the viewer suggestions and this could lead to more
people seeing my video.
• YouTube was also very influential in my research, in my music video analysis and also to
find similar examples as to what I wanted to do. My music video analysis was on Joe
Bonamassa- Different Shades of Blue, which I in fact only found through this digital
technology. This shows the importance of this specific example of technology in how it
influenced the coursework for me.
• My evaluation question 1 was also posted on YouTube in order for me to put this on my
blog.
• Overall this digital technology has allowed me to reach my target audience and works well
with other technologies I had already planned to use, such as blogger.
5. Photoshop
• Photoshop was solely used in order to edit my
designs for my construction in terms of my digipak
and my advertising poster. I chose to use this digital
technology due to the variety of ways in which I
could manipulate my original images into my
designs for my digipak and poster. As this software
is developed by Adobe it therefore was easy to
transfer over my work from illustrator, such as my
Space Eagle logo.
• Overall the choice of this editing software was an
effective one and in my opinion produced effective
results in order to appeal to my target audience and
apply to the blues genre. This was achieved by
editing colours and contrast and also adding in
black and white effects keeping a solid home-style
throughout my digipak and poster.
6. Illustrator
• Linking back to the previous slide, Illustrator was
effective in the text designs for my productions. I
chose this digital technology in order to add ease
in passing files between my editing software. I
used illustrator to create my Space Eagle and Early
inThe Morning text to be used within my digipak
and poster in order to keep a similar style and keep
it current yet appeal to my desired audience.
• Overall I feel this decision of digital technology
was effective in how I developed my creative skills
by using a more complex adobe platform instead
of say word. This produced a more professional
result and will be more appealing to my target and
secondary audience.
7. Slide Share/ PowerPoint
• I have used PowerPoint to produce this evaluation question,
therefore this is the only section of the coursework I have used this
for. This was still an effective way of separating my work into the
individual digital technologies.
• After this I am able to upload this onto Slide Share in order to share
it to the public but also embed this into my blog.
• Overall this is effective in order to complete my different formats
of evaluation questions and the digital technology makes it easily
accessible from my blog.
8. Equipment- Cameras
In terms of cameras I used a Canon EOS 600D for the
majority of my video. I chose this digital technology due
to it being easily accessible as my main male actor
owned one. This camera also allowed me to adjust
effectively to the various lightings that were required
for my video in order to make it accurate to my genre
conventions.
For the graveyard sections of the final piece I was
limited on time and had to improvise with the use of my
phone, an iPhone 6, which still produced a good quality
picture and worked very well with the zoom.
Some of my shots were a bit unstable and in future I
would think of the possibility of a tripod in order to
increase the stability and keep the focus.
Overall I think my choices were beneficial for my filming
and all round produced effective shots in all lightings I
required.
9. Final Cut Express
• After using Final Cut Pro last year in my production of my thriller, I decided to use a similar software this year in the way of Final Cut
Express. I have chosen to use this as it offers a wider range of effects and editing techniques in which I could incorporate into my final
production.
• I also used this digital technology for my preliminary task back at the start of the year, although that was in a group and I feel using this
alone has improved my understanding of editing and I proud of my overall outcome due to this technology as I feel the quality would’ve
been slacking if I had used a simpler piece of software.
• With this software I was able to control the transitions within my video, incorporating various cross-fades and dip to colours. But most
importantly I was able to tint my memory scenes and also edit the brightness and contrast to give the video a darker edge that I have
aimed to achieve.
• Overall with the use of this digital technology it has enabled me to fit my music video into the blues genre more effectively and therefore
has allowed it appeal more to my audiences.
