Film 4 would be an appropriate distributor for the independent, low-budget British film. As a major UK film distributor owned by Channel 4, Film 4 would be interested in acquiring the film despite its small budget. Film 4 previously distributed popular and financially successful films like The Inbetweeners 2 and Step Up 3D. They would want to distribute the film because it could potentially spawn a television series, allowing Film 4 to profit further.

4. Who will distribute my film?
As my film is a low budget, independent British film as opposed to a
Hollywood film it would be distributed by a UK film distributor.
There are different distributors this could include such as Film 4,
Vertigo Films or DNA Films.
We chose Film 4 which is owned by channel 4 (a British TV channel).
We chose this as it is a well known and successful company but would
still be interested in a low budget independent film.
Previously Film 4 has distributed films such as…
• The Inbetweeners 2 – 2014
• Step up 3D - 2010

5. Why would they distribute it?
Film 4 would want to distribute our film as they
could go on spawn a television series from this.
Therefore this would attract them to want to
distribute our media product as they will be able
to make more profit.

6. Our Ident
To portray some of our technical skills that we
have learnt over the past few months we chose
to make our own Ident.
We decided on ‘Alien Films’ as it sounds like a
realistic name and also its unique to previous
names.
