1. How does your media product represent
particular social groups?

2. Social Groups
My media project represents two types of social
groups. One is teenagers and the other is criminals.
The teenagers are represented mainly by their
appearance which is suggestive of what a teenager
would typically wear. The teenagers help to further
convey the social group of themselves by playing a
typical sport that a teenage boy would play. The
setting of where the males go to play football also
suggests their social group as they go to play near
some garages, which typically is where teenagers
go to use a garage door as a goal.
3. Social Groups
The social group of criminals is represented by the opening 15 seconds. This shows a
figure holding a knife which suggests that a crime has been committed. The figure also
has their face pointed towards the ground, not showing their face. This suggests the
social group of a criminal as the person is trying to keep their identity unknown. The
knife conveys the social group of a criminal as they are clearly hostile and it also
suggests danger with the knife. This represents the social group of a criminal.
