1. How does your media product
represent particular social groups?
Bqqy Andre and Alex
2. My media product represents young people between the ages of 16-18 as
being very weak and fragile and not being the sort of person to stand up or
fight for themselves. This can be seen by the killer looking at a group of friends
who are later killed in the opening scene. The viewer can assume that the
villain may have been bullied, for example in the video, or has a reason to kill
someone in the group. Young people are often associated with bullying or
being in trouble so the representation is accurate with stereotypes.
3. The particular social group we represent in our horror opening scene is
teenagers like mention previous, 16 to 18 yrs old. We represent them as
being non-threating and not really being strong and having a sense of their
surrounding as in our horror opening scene, we have a scene where the
fragile teenager gets his neck twisted in a alley scene near a park and the
teenager doesn’t have time to react. This makes him look very weak and will
make the killer look more dominate but makes the killer more mystery as he
did nothing wrong.
