In the opening we only see two
characters and when a pan was
used of one of them walking down
the road we see nobody else on the

isolated and dangerous area. The
voice over ‘I didn’t kill anyone who
didn’t deserve it’ signifies he
murdered someone and that he is a
villain and an evil man.

dark clothing connotes mystery and
reinforces the idea of them being
villains as black connotes death.
Low key lighting is used throughout
to set the mood as being
dangerous and eerie. It builds up
tension. This creates shadows on
the characters face making them
appear threatening and risky.
