1. Audience When doing research before making my magazine I created an audience profile of a certain group of people that I wanted to buy my magazine. In the research I listed things like interested in ‘indie/alternitvive’ music, interested in fashion. I think that the age group that would be interested in the magazine would be from the age of around 18-24 this is because the style of the magazine looks for more of a mature audience not to say that anyone under the age of 18 wouldn’t be interested in reading this magazine but from the presentation of the front cover it may not be appealing to a less mature audience. Hobbies would be going to see live gigs and going to festivals and would be interested with new and upcoming bands and artists. By looking at Q magazine and NME magazine I think you can tell just by looking at the front cover that Q magazine has a older target audience than NME. Certain aspects are obvious like the images used on Q when researching about the magazine some of the images that have been used on past front covers may come across to some a rather suggestive or provocative but on NME the images used on their front covers are less suggestive and makes the magazine look like it is aimed towards a younger audience because the images are suitable you a younger target audience.
