This document summarizes the design choices made for a new R&B music magazine targeted towards female audiences. The magazine focuses on R&B artists and aims to represent class and sophistication rather than exploiting women through revealing clothing. Color choices of white, black, grey and red were made to convey sophistication. Photographs were edited to portray strength and fierceness rather than conformity to stereotypes. The magazine title "Vixen" was chosen to attract both male and female readers interested in R&B music and fashion.
