MEDIA CAMPAIGN
ANALYSIS
AUDIENCE RESPONSE-POSTERS
For my campaign I created various posters to help with my social media
campaign. I created posters as I know that a lot of people do not have
social media so they need a way of knowing that the club is there. I printed
out 100 posters and handed them in in the South Shields area and also
around where I live. Also so more people would see them I put the poster
up on my Instagram page that I made for the boxing club. As for the
posters its hard to know how much impact they had on the boxing club
unlike on an Instagram page where you can clearly see all of the likes and
followers. I got a group of friends together to ask them what there
response was to the posters, there response was that they thought that the
poster was very clear on what it was trying to promote but they thought
that it could have more details and information on such as prices, ages etc.
AUDIENCE RESPONSE-INSTAGRAM PAGE
The Instagram page did not do as well as the posters,
as of now the Instagram has a total of 6 followers but
it has only been up for about two weeks, So it still
does need some time to gain more followers. When I
had a group look at it for there response they said
that the page had good aspects such as the posts
looked interesting and some of the posts such as the
benefits of boxing post where very interesting. But
they said there could be more posts to be uploaded
every few days to keep people interested.
AUDIENCE RESPONSE-YOUTUBE VIDEO
Once again the video didn't do as well as the
posters as I got 100 of them handed out, but the
video did get a total of 21views which was more
than the Instagram page but the video has only
been up for about two weeks so it could just need
more time to gather more views. I created the video
as I thought it was a great way to reach the target
audience as a videos are just easy to watch.
Throughout the whole campaign I kept
the same colour theme running of the
red and white, I did this so all of the
products I made would be recognisable
to be from this campaign. Also
throughout the campaign I kept the
boxing gloves picture, on the poster as
the profile picture on the Instagram
page and and within the logo on the
video. This was done so people would
know what kind of things the fitness
club does and the gloves indicate it is
boxing.
HARTON AND WESTOE BOXING CLUB
STATS
Before the campaign was done Harton and Westoe had 2,561page
views, 1,695 page likes, 393 new followers and only 1click to the
website. On the 2nd-29th march the Facebook page had 521 new
followers which is a 119% increase, 26k post reach an increase of 432%
and a 20k post engagement which is a 518% increase. After all of the
campaign has been done Harton Westoe boxing clubs Facebook page
had an 18.8k page reach and 2,561 page views. The box clever events
page had 26k page reach, 20k post engagement and 521 new page
likes. So overall I think that the media campaign for Harton and
Westoe boxing club has been quite successful.
In conclusion I feel like I could of done more to
make my campaign for Harton and Westoe
Boxing Club more effective. The first thing I did In
my campaign was hand out the leaflets around
my area and around the area of South Shields as I
know they are more likely to go to the boxing
club as it is close, I ended up handing out all 100
leaflets which was affective in the campaign. To
make this more effective I could of put a link on
the poster for the Instagram page and this could
of resulted in more followers on the page. The
next thing I did was release the Instagram page,
this part of the campaign could have been a lot
better if I had put a link on the posters, as I did
not do his I relied heavily on word of mouth to
get followers on the Instagram page. After the
Instagram page went out I then put out the video
onto YouTube where that got 21 views which
could have been better, once again I think the
video would have been more successful if I would
of put the link for the video onto the poster so
more people would of known about it. So overall
I do think parts of the campaign where successful
and got people interested in the boxing club, but
I do think they where a lot of parts that could
