In what ways does your media product use, develop or
challenge forms and conventions of real media products?




Both central images are used as well as house colours for both front
covers. One of the conventions is that both magazines have barcodes to
show that it is a media product ready to be sold.
How does your media product represent particular social
                      groups?




 My media product represents different social groups to be dominant as its
 colours and text are cool and on edge. Even the black and white image
 being used on the front cover represents the attitude of today's youth
What kind of media institution might distribute your media
                        product and why?


•   Hmv and many other stores for example local newsagents and post offices would
    distribute my media product as it aimed at all ages. My media product is also very
    versatile as you could view my media product online via e-books through iTunes
    and Amazon.
Who would be the audience for your media product?


•   I chose the audience for my media product due to the market research I received
    when interviewing fellow colleges. I chose all ages as it wouldn't just be a diverse
    media product but also it may sell more if the magazine is aimed at more social
    groups
How did you attract/address your audience?


•   I tried to attract my audiences with the bright and vibrant colours for example the
    bright pink which was used on my front cover. I also used cover stars and bands
    which were at the peak of there success which makes the audience want to read
    my media product more. Even gig guides and festival line ups increase the amount
    of readers and audience.

What have you learnt about technologies from the process of
                    constructing this product?

•    I have learnt new skills with so many different products which will help me out in
     the future. For example I can now edit photographs and images using Photoshop
     and I can also upload and show people my work but using slide share and blogger.
     I even learnt how to work the professional camera’s which were given to me by
     staff.
Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you
     have learnt in the progression from it to the full product?


•   I have enhanced my skills with digital photography, Photoshop and photo
    manipulation. I have learnt a lot of technical skills whilst working on my media
    product which will hopefully help me in the future. I have also learnt practical skills
    with using the digital SLR camera’s in the studio. My attitude towards my work has
    completely changed as I have worked with different tools which have been chosen
    specifically for chosen tasks
