In what ways does your media use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?Followed conventions:• medium shot on front cover Challenged conventions:• Main photo on double page • double page spread image notspread looking at camera• colour scheme that is followedthrough out • Haven’t used a large image on• contents page is simple contents page

How does your media productrepresent particular social groups?• Represents a young social group as the audience can relate to the artistsfeatured• I used colloquial language throughout my article to appeal to my targetaudience. I used techniques such as clipping and deletion to give theaudience a feel of inclusion.• Look and age of artist• Mise en scène – headphones, phone and clothing worn. These items areworn by the audience as well.• Colours used represents the underground seen as it is dull and tensecolours such as red and black.

What kind of media institution mightdistribute your media product and why?• WHSmiths• Supermarkets• Newsagents My magazine would• At Music tours/concerts distribute my magazine because it is original, there aren’t any 100% grime magazines on the market. Most magazines only feature grime along with other genres.

Who would be the audience for your media product?Target audience: aged between 17-24People that are interested in grime and upcoming music, andunsigned artists.Gender: both – Females that are also interested in fashion as well asmusic as there are female models featured. Males that are interestedin Grime and urban musicNationality: mostly from UK as grime has been established in the UK

How did you attract/address your audience?• Used disjointed fonts – this creates a feel that the magazine is informal and relates to the music genre and the audience as it casual but also Grime is sometimes seen as aggressive and so this factor can be seen with the font I used for the title.• Edited photos of the artists to attract my audience – The model I chose to be my main cover is right for this magazine as the audience will be similar age to him, also with a similar style and they can relate to him. He is posed in a serious gaze and this shows how grime is taken seriously within the music industry and to the audience.• Colour scheme – I used 3 main colours, red, grey and black throughout the magazine• Features of magazine• Images
