- 9. To get the most out of today: • Keep an open mind • Scenarios aren’t predictions, but descriptions of plausible alternative futures. You’ll learn more by exploring them and asking “what if?” questions than by ruling out possibilities. • Be adventurous • The workshop is a place to play with and explore what might happen in the future. We invite you to dive and experience what it might be like. • Share in the creative commons • Share insights you are comfortable with giving to others; this is about collaborative learning and idea creation.

Scenarios • Scenarios are plausible, coherent and challenging descriptions of possible future worlds. • They are predictions, not forecasts • Scenarios help us to explore what might happen in the future, anticipate key uncertainties, be better prepared to mitigate risks and seize opportunities presented by a changing world.
