„My Virtual Pen Friend Across Europe”- etwinning 2017

The project „My Virtual Pen Friend Across Europe” is about changing knowledges
information about teenagers lifestyle, meeting new friends and new cultures through
etwinning platforme, socialising and grow the perspective in European spirit. Also, the
aim is using, exercising and improve web 2.0 tools, digital skills and English Language
for presenting the work on the theme of the project. The project is an intercultural one for
integrating the students in European community and aware them for developing the
European Citizen atributes starting from school. The aim is Enlgish language and
interaction with other etwinners from other countries. Also we worked with many
interested and hardworking parteners. Our project can be seen on :

Inovaţie şi creativitate pedagogică
Project is based on teams work and collaboration of the involved countries students
coordonated by teachers. Pedagogical methods are focused on developing the 21st
Century Competences like : collaboration, trainning foreign languages , express opinions
and sharing ideas, presenting work and cultural aspects of each country, developing in
students the European direction as friendship and openminded vision. The goals were to
learn and discover other cultures and lifestyle of teens. Pedagogical methods are: groups
or individual work, own creation, realising, presentations and expressing and practical
activities created with IT specific tools. Their final work results are presented in different
ways as – photos, word-files, power-point, pdf, videos and letters on padlets on
twinspace. The project has many parts distributed on monthly schedule on the project
structure. Each partner followed the plan and present their work on platform realising the
collaborative work. The collaborative work will have final product of the project as an E-
magazine and a short video presentation; also during project we interact by Skype with a
partner and on platform with the others. The project work was done in school and
involved students on groups for different parts of project like: logos, bitmoji, videos
about countries, daily routine or about school. Working under teacher coordonation the
students are improving knowledges and were guide for a better work exchanging
knowledges and cultures aspects regarding countries, lifestyle and also comparing their
work. The project has a very good jurnal to follow and announced every news on project.
Also, the project has a question-and-answer questionaire about countries involved –and a
self-assesment for students and share their impressions about the entire project.
Therefore, in this part they followed the scheduled monthly activities on project .

Integrare în curriculum
Project is integrated in Human and Society - Curriculum Area- 10th grade because of
cultural specific of the project. But the targets are also enriching knowledges from other
disciplines of study as are : geography, design-creativity, arts-drawing, literature, and
music, English language, IT tools . The main skills for students to develope are practical
and daily knowledges about teens lifestyle. In the same time it appeals to the human
caracteristics as : socialising, friendship, accepting the others, learning about other
cultures, national specific tradition and gastronomy, compare or having exemples, seeing
different other learning systems in European schools. Students have worked in school
hours during lab-classes . Some of the work was translated in English in library school or
after hours in library or in lab-classes in the same time with different presentations or
brainstorming sessions for project. Location of the countries were made in Geography-lab
and the questionaire were made in class after using the IT lab for searching information.
In this way we followed to improve the English language skills(working together) in
translating, reading, writing and more, in English. In order to make them to be interesed
in research the students searched on the internet themes as countries, capitals, specifity of
the countries, gastronomy, monuments , flags, population, spoken language and other
specific issues from the questionaire. Also we changes info about our daily routine and
lifestyle of the students from different countries.

Comunicare şi schimburi între şcolile partenere
Our project has a very good jurnal on Twinspace where were presented all the steps to
follow in project and the subjects of the parts, by each partener. Every partener country
has fulfilled its part according to the monthly program of the project using its capabilities.
We have exchange information about our work by making folders on Twinspace
materials and uploaded work . Informative messages and emails related with monthly
activities were send by email, also with feedbacks responds. The comunication was by
groups of students, through presented materials, logos, posters and videos who presented
their part-work in project . During the project, schools parteners had interacted in padlets,
forum, networking and the dialog between students using twinn-mail on the platform. For
a better interact each partener presented some relevant activities from their schools
related to project as teambuldings in class , creating groups, making videos about project.
Student-members of teams correspondents on twinmail and on etwinning- or Skype with
Poland team, but the mainly interaction was on etwinning platfom.

teachers` e-mail address in parteners country which made a very good communication
and changing opinions and share work in time. Teachers were in touch all the time
visualizing the jurnal, forums, email, project events. The communication was very
efficient.
Colaborare între şcoli partenere
Collaboration between parteners schools started with a plan elaborate in common by
teachers-coordonators estimating a list with events on project and a schedule of monthly
activities . Each partener has follow the pages of the project and the monthly activity was
uploaded. We have comunicated with parteners via twinspace page, twinmail, messages
and forum and skype connection through chatting. Every work was shared and
commented on twinspace of the project. Collaboration between coordinator-teachers and
parteners-teachers was via twinspace on project`s jurnal and emails . All news were
easily seen on twinspace and the correspondenting informations and steps, were just in
time. In this order we have created etwinning information meetings, creating etwinner
membership, students-school-country introductions, panel preparations, organising
seminars about project, posted logo and posters about our work in the prepared sections
on twinspace, organising movie events during project and presented materials on power-
point or movies or letters attached in material-files, presenting photos/materials regarding
project, publish e-magazine on calameo as the final product, also preparing short videos
about the project work and schools activities. The final step is the questionaire where
students and teachers express their opinion and thoughts about entire fruitfull project
work. For this there were a final section with the impressions and opinions of the project

Utilizarea tehnologiei
IT-technology has the main role for creating all the materials in this project . Students are
developing their computer skills and also discover or trainning new techniques and web
tools , for presenting the work. The work used diverse techniques of editing like : word-
worksheets presented, word letters presentations or work converted in publishing pdf,
power-point presentations, photos-activity attached in materials , short movies about
activities-also in etwinning Twinspace-materials. All the materials are organised in clear
folders. We used the calameo tool for magazine we have created for etwinning and
attached materials creating the Project Online Magazine and the youtube moviemaker for
final project video presentation. Students have trainned with more web 2.0 tools and have
choose the easy one for them which made the presentation on the project and could be
added on twinspace. More Web 2.0 Tools were used as: photos in Twinspace, info-
introduction in padlets, boards of the project in padlets, logos, posters, impressions and
reportages on padlets - www.padlet.com, www.bitmoji.com, Prezi.com presentation on
Our Works , Youtube-moviemaker, Power-director Apps for videos , VivaVideo Creator
also for videos, Microsoft power-point-presentation of the researcher work, Word-doc,
pdf converted, power-points work presented, Padlet.com for remake of the e-magazine,
Calameo.com tool for final product for the project- the E-Magazine. For creating the e-
magazine materials we merged pdf work using www.smallpdf.com and after that added
on calameo.com form for presentation.
Rezultate, impact şi documentaţie
Project has success for students for developing the communicative, collaborative and
friendship spirit between youngsters. The project achieved its objectives by increasing the
students interest and motivation on learning about other cultures and lifestiles in a daily
attractive and important activity. Their awareness for improving their personality and
gained an open-minded vision about other students in European Countries, other
cultures , other histories of life and friendship . Students become more confident in their
behaviour regarding communication, friends, collaboration, life, school, daily routine.
Also they have grown their responsabilities for an open-minded approach about their
present and future as the European Citizen. Through the proposal activities the project
develops a multiskills being interconected with many other disciplines so important in
future`s career as citizen : open-minded, accepting the others, collaborative skills,
communication competences, foreign language abilities. The activities and the activating
methods were approached a high utility and curiosity, success wish, motivating students
for a final good result and product and self-satisfaction. The students were engaged in
searching usefull information and many activities, new experiences, comparing
interesting informations about other cultures and other international systems in schools.
They gained knowledges, experience, developed skills , trainning foreign language . They
have been worked with responsabilities that were shared during collaboration with
parteners. The coordonating teacher has the self-confident on a good and important and
usefull all-day realised work . The school has the advantage of landing to a complex
system of learning tasks through eTwinning project . The project was presented in school
comunity for apreciation and support as a good value. The project received
encouragements and support.

Etwinning 2017 my pen friend across europe

  • 1. „My Virtual Pen Friend Across Europe”- etwinning 2017 Liceul Tehnologic de Industrie Alimentară “G.E.Palade”, Satu Mare DETALII DE PROIECT Scurtă descriere The project „My Virtual Pen Friend Across Europe” is about changing knowledges information about teenagers lifestyle, meeting new friends and new cultures through etwinning platforme, socialising and grow the perspective in European spirit. Also, the aim is using, exercising and improve web 2.0 tools, digital skills and English Language for presenting the work on the theme of the project. The project is an intercultural one for integrating the students in European community and aware them for developing the European Citizen atributes starting from school. The aim is Enlgish language and interaction with other etwinners from other countries. Also we worked with many interested and hardworking parteners. Pedagogical methods are focused on developing the 21st Century Competences like : collaboration, trainning foreign languages , express opinions and sharing ideas, presenting work and cultural aspects of each country, developing in students the European direction as friendship and openminded vision. The goals were to learn and discover other cultures and lifestyle of teens. Pedagogical methods are: groups or individual work, own creation, realising, presentations and expressing and practical activities created with IT specific tools. Their final work results are presented in different ways as – photos, word-files, power-point, pdf, videos and letters on padlets on twinspace. The project has many parts distributed on monthly schedule on the project structure. Each partner followed the plan and present their work on platform realising the collaborative work. The collaborative work will have final product of the project as an E- magazine and a short video presentation; also during project we interact by Skype with a partner and on platform with the others. The project work was done in school and involved students on groups for different parts of project like: logos, bitmoji, videos about countries, daily routine or about school. Working under teacher coordonation the students are improving knowledges and were guide for a better work exchanging knowledges and cultures aspects regarding countries, lifestyle and also comparing their work. The project has a very good jurnal to follow and announced every news on project. Also, the project has a question-and-answer questionaire about countries involved –and a self-assesment for students and share their impressions about the entire project. But the targets are also enriching knowledges from other
  • 2. disciplines of study as are : geography, design-creativity, arts-drawing, literature, and music, English language, IT tools . The main skills for students to develope are practical and daily knowledges about teens lifestyle. In the same time it appeals to the human caracteristics as : socialising, friendship, accepting the others, learning about other cultures, national specific tradition and gastronomy, compare or having exemples, seeing different other learning systems in European schools. Students have worked in school hours during lab-classes . Some of the work was translated in English in library school or after hours in library or in lab-classes in the same time with different presentations or brainstorming sessions for project. Location of the countries were made in Geography-lab and the questionaire were made in class after using the IT lab for searching information. In this way we followed to improve the English language skills(working together) in translating, reading, writing and more, in English. In order to make them to be interesed in research the students searched on the internet themes as countries, capitals, specifity of the countries, gastronomy, monuments , flags, population, spoken language and other specific issues from the questionaire. Every partener country has fulfilled its part according to the monthly program of the project using its capabilities. We have exchange information about our work by making folders on Twinspace materials and uploaded work . Informative messages and emails related with monthly activities were send by email, also with feedbacks responds. The comunication was by groups of students, through presented materials, logos, posters and videos who presented their part-work in project . During the project, schools parteners had interacted in padlets, forum, networking and the dialog between students using twinn-mail on the platform. For a better interact each partener presented some relevant activities from their schools related to project as teambuldings in class , creating groups, making videos about project. Student-members of teams correspondents on twinmail and on etwinning- or Skype with Poland team, but the mainly interaction was on etwinning platfom. https://twinspace.etwinning.net/30605/pages/page/202763 Mails were sent to each teachers` e-mail address in parteners country which made a very good communication and changing opinions and share work in time. Teachers were in touch all the time visualizing the jurnal, forums, email, project events. The communication was very efficient. Colaborare între şcoli partenere Collaboration between parteners schools started with a plan elaborate in common by teachers-coordonators estimating a list with events on project and a schedule of monthly activities . Each partener has follow the pages of the project and the monthly activity was uploaded. We have comunicated with parteners via twinspace page, twinmail, messages and forum and skype connection through chatting. Every work was shared and commented on twinspace of the project. Collaboration between coordinator-teachers and parteners-teachers was via twinspace on project`s jurnal and emails . All news were easily seen on twinspace and the correspondenting informations and steps, were just in time. In this order we have created etwinning information meetings, creating etwinner
  • 3. membership, students-school-country introductions, panel preparations, organising seminars about project, posted logo and posters about our work in the prepared sections on twinspace, organising movie events during project and presented materials on power- point or movies or letters attached in material-files, presenting photos/materials regarding project, publish e-magazine on calameo as the final product, also preparing short videos about the project work and schools activities. The final step is the questionaire where students and teachers express their opinion and thoughts about entire fruitfull project work. Students are developing their computer skills and also discover or trainning new techniques and web tools , for presenting the work. The work used diverse techniques of editing like : word- worksheets presented, word letters presentations or work converted in publishing pdf, power-point presentations, photos-activity attached in materials , short movies about activities-also in etwinning Twinspace-materials. All the materials are organised in clear folders. We used the calameo tool for magazine we have created for etwinning and attached materials creating the Project Online Magazine and the youtube moviemaker for final project video presentation. Students have trainned with more web 2.0 tools and have choose the easy one for them which made the presentation on the project and could be added on twinspace. More Web 2.0 Tools were used as: photos in Twinspace, info- introduction in padlets, boards of the project in padlets, logos, posters, impressions and reportages on padlets - www.padlet.com, www.bitmoji.com, Prezi.com presentation on Our Works , Youtube-moviemaker, Power-director Apps for videos , VivaVideo Creator also for videos, Microsoft power-point-presentation of the researcher work, Word-doc, pdf converted, power-points work presented, Padlet.com for remake of the e-magazine, Calameo.com tool for final product for the project- the E-Magazine. For creating the e- magazine materials we merged pdf work using www.smallpdf.com and after that added on calameo.com form for presentation. Rezultate, impact şi documentaţie Project has success for students for developing the communicative, collaborative and friendship spirit between youngsters. The project achieved its objectives by increasing the students interest and motivation on learning about other cultures and lifestiles in a daily attractive and important activity. Their awareness for improving their personality and gained an open-minded vision about other students in European Countries, other cultures , other histories of life and friendship . Students become more confident in their behaviour regarding communication, friends, collaboration, life, school, daily routine. Also they have grown their responsabilities for an open-minded approach about their present and future as the European Citizen. Through the proposal activities the project develops a multiskills being interconected with many other disciplines so important in future`s career as citizen : open-minded, accepting the others, collaborative skills, communication competences, foreign language abilities. The activities and the activating methods were approached a high utility and curiosity, success wish, motivating students for a final good result and product and self-satisfaction. The students were engaged in searching usefull information and many activities, new experiences, comparing
  • 4. interesting informations about other cultures and other international systems in schools. They gained knowledges, experience, developed skills , trainning foreign language . They have been worked with responsabilities that were shared during collaboration with parteners. The coordonating teacher has the self-confident on a good and important and usefull all-day realised work . The school has the advantage of landing to a complex system of learning tasks through eTwinning project . The project was presented in school comunity for apreciation and support as a good value.
