negative stimuli. Focusing on the goals that are culturally prescribed for success, specifically for

the Sugar and Stamp Acts, were used as tools over the colonies and kindled the hatred of the

Throughout Dangarembga s seminal prose novel and BГў s epistolary novel, the authors explore
the omnipresent nature of gender inequality in a society and the inequitable standards of life that all
women have to either endure or reject. Both texts present their protagonists, Tambudzai and
Ramatoulaye one a developing adolescent, the other a widowed mother of twelve, reflecting on the
struggles of being women in their respective patriarchal societies of Zimbabwe and Senegal.

that texting does not affect a students writing. Textspeak, the abbreviation and shortening of words
like used when writinga text message, does affect the way a student writes because they use the
abbreviations, and their writings tend to lack punctuation. When a writer uses excessive

market forces of demand and supply. In competitive open markets, the forces of demand and
supply would interact to determine the price at which goods and services are transferred. While
