Fannie Taylor, a white female, had been sexually harassed by a black man in her house. She
claimed that a black man had gotten into her house and assaulted her, but she had no obvious
injuries other than her word that she was unconscious for a long time.
A group of KKK members, believed that this rapist was an escaped inmate named Jesse Hunter
who was hiding in Rosewood, and they wanted to kidnap and kill him. Before this happened many
problems had started aggression within Rosewood. The next day the the clan firebombed the home
before gathered with 200 men from towns around the area who had found out that a negro man
had killed two caucasian men. As the moon came out the clan attacked the town, killing animals

We have students of all different sizes, sexes, and ethnicities. Of all of these different facets, we
have found that the most challenging is the communication between the hearing and Deaf students
on the team. We researched this with an interview with Cooper Norris from the Rochester School
for the Deaf (RSD). Cooper was a drive team member from FRC Team 3162, the all Deaf team from
RSD. After one year of competition the team folded. Cooper revealed that there was not enough
student interested from the 135 students enrolled at RSD. Cooper noted that the communication
between the mentors and the students was difficult because there were only two interpreters for the
entire team. He went on to say that the interpreters did not have engineering or technical expertise

Edgar Allen Poe is known for the various literary devices he uses in his works. One of the most
famous devices he uses is symbolism. In many of his stories, including The Masque of the Red
Death, The Fall of the House of Usher, The Tell Tale Heart, and The Cask of Amontillado, Poe
uses symbolism to further develop each story by the messages he writes between the lines.
Symbolism is an important aspect of Poe s many works, seeing as how it allows the readers to
make connections within the stories. In The Cask of Amontillado, Poe represents symbolism through
the title of the short story, the outfit Fortunato wears, and the Montresor family motto and coat of
arms. Many would not look to a title of a piece of literature for symbolism. In The Cask of
Amontillado, Poe uses the key word cask as a huge symbol. The word cask refers to, a sturdy
cylindrical container for storing liquids, such as Amontillado, a fine wine, in this case (Lorcher).
Montresor introduces the topic of the wine to his former friend Fortunato by saying, My dear
Fortunato, you are luckily met. How remarkably well you are looking to day. But I have
received a pipe of what passes for Amontillado, and I have my doubts (Poe). Fortunato is
extremely intoxicated from carnival festivities prior to his conversation with Montresor, so it is
probable that his decision to go into the catacombs with Montresor is not for the benefit of
anyone but himself. He sees this journey with Montresor as a way to acquire one of two

Montresor suggests that Fortunato is not capable of distinguishing the Amontillado and mentions

Whats the alternative to lead weights?
In this article I would like to talk about some different ways of getting more out of your carp
fishing. Recently I have started to do a few things differently and I think it is making a difference.
Firstly the length of hooklink. Over the last few years articles have talked about using shorter
hooklinks but I don t see many people using them, I m talking about very short 21/2 3inches. I
reckon some anglers are not keen on this because your bait is sitting very close to the lead, but
your bait is not always the length of your hooklink away from the bait anyway, lots of times
when you ve cast the bait follows the lead down and could be sitting right next to the lead unless
when you tighten up you move the lead! If you don t like your bait very close to the lead why is
that?, is it because you think carp can recognise danger when they see the lead! I reckon on well
fished waters carp are cautious of leads that s why I ve starting using the Stonze . ... Show more

I noticed that directly you cast out you would get small fish attacking the method and would get
bleeps and knocks until the bigger fish moved in and you would get a run. If we had all used 3oz
leads and 10 inch hooklinks I m convinced we wouldn t have caught so many fish. If you use long
hooklinks carp can pick up your bait and move twice the distance of your hooklink before they
tighten to the lead.
