The locations were Sapporo (SP), Hirosaki (HR), Sendai (SE), Fukui (FK), Tokyo
(TK), Oshima (OS), Matsuyama (MT), Kagoshima (KG), Amami Oshima (AM),
Okinoerabu Jima (OK), Ogasawara (OG), Kume Jima (KM), and Iriomote Jima
(IR). Out of these locations, the sexual reproducing strains were AM, OK, KM and
IR and the parthenogenesis strains are SP, HR, SE, FK, TK, OS, MT, KG, and
OG, (MURATA, 2009). DNA was extracted from each of these strains through the
use of DNAzol that was used for this experiment. In the prepupal diapause portion
of the experiment, SP, HR, SE, TK, MT, KG, AM, OG1, and IR strains were
observed. For the preimaginal (egg to eclosion) period the larvae were raised in a
23В°C environment, (MURATA, 2009). This portion of the experiment was
determined by the female population produced. The cold tolerance portion of the
experiment was conducted on pupae. The pupae s were parasitized and exposed to
0В°C then held at 23В°C. The cold tolerance for the adults had them reared at
23В°C. The females were then places into containers containing Drosophila median
and placed into constant darkness at 0В°C for 1 4 days, (MURATA, 2009). The
results for the cold tolerance portion of the experiment showed that the number of
pupae that were able to develop into adults after being exposed to 0В°C for one day
was significantly lower for the SP and TK strains (Parthenogenesis strains) than

application functionality, or system utilities. In this case, this layer is the main
