Women need to give up the notion that they are inherently vulnerable and passive

changed. At that young age I learned how much we take for granted. Robert Byrne

their families. The toll of cancer on an individual, and their family is devastating

child goes through cancer, and I hope to alleviate some of that burden. My family
was blessed to have a church community, that generously made it possible for my
parents to pay their mortgage while I was in the hospital. The proximity of the

My family got lucky to some extent, because we had a support group that helped get
us through my cancer fight. Not everybody has that support though, and there are

According to Alina Bradford in the article, What is global warming?, Global
warming is the gradual heating of Earth s surface, oceans, and atmosphere. Scientists
have tracked and determining if the earth temperature has risen or is decreasing.
Scientists have seen an increase of about 1.4 degrees in temperature in the past
century and are supposed to keep rising. Climate changeis a huge issue because sea
level is rising, Glaciers are disappearing due to climate, increasing and melting them,
damage ecosystem, and also droughts in many countries. All of those reasons don t
just affect me but everything on this planet. Everyone on earth is involved with
global warming, For example Bangladesh, Sudan, and Haiti have all been major
affected by global warming, Many of their crops are getting destroyed and floods
are killing and destroying citizen homes and lands. The top five countries that are
threatened by Global Warming are Haiti, Bangladesh, Zimbabwe, Sierra Leone, and
Madagascar. There aren t much recent development, but NASA has put out a reported
saying that over the last century that we have burned fossil fuel such as coal, oil, and
gasses which have increased the concentration of atmospheric carbon dioxide, the
greenhouse effect.
