slaughtered horses, which were scattered everywhere along the ground, creates a
deep effect on the audience. Knowing that there are people so cruel out there in the
world who carry on doing this and that this type of action still exists. The man

Growing up is a journey we all have to travel. Everyone makes their own paths on
an adventure of change. Along the way, the path will be beautiful and smooth
sailing, bumpy and rough, and sometimes conflict will appear out of the blue. At
times forks in the road will show up and decisions must be made. Change is
inevitable. Throughout a lifetime decisions made will be small and slight, or huge
and major. It does not matter because one decision can change one s path completely.
Even the slightest change can make the difference. The decision could even be a
change of hairstyle. A change in hairstyle could lead to a new fashion sense, to a
new genre of music, to a completely new person. I myself have noticed many
differences and similarities between my middle schoolself and now; and it is only the
beginning. One similarity between my middle school self and my current self is
my personality. Throughout middle school, I was always upbeat and very

The experiment performed by B.F. Skinner involved the issue of free will. Free
will, or the ability to act on one s own decisions, was put to the test in his
experiments. He believed that our actions were simply the result of positive or
negative reinforcements, rather than free will. Skinner, through his experiments,
was able to train rats to pull a lever in order to receive food. The actions of the rats
were not done by their own free will, but because of the positive reinforcement that
resulted from it; the food. When Skinner first began his experiments, he had the
rats press a lever, and in turn, were rewarded with food. Then, since he realized that
the rats could accidentally step on the lever and release a food pellet, he set the
lever to a fixed ratio schedule. This meant that the food would come out, for
example, on every fifth press of the lever. He even took the experiment farther, and
set the lever to what he called variable schedules of reinforcements, which meant the
food would come out at random intervals, such as the fiftieth or sixtieth press of the

In our minds this included; a red bow, a number of ribbons in the holiday s
traditional colors, and candy canes. Additionally, we purchased spray chalk in order
for those who choose to stop to express their holiday wishes in a fun and playful way.
We intended to incentivize them to stop by offering them a candy caneand allowing
them to express themselves freely with the medium that we choose. The result of
this would not only be the spontaneous communication that we experienced with
them in that moment, but also the potential future interactions it may create as a
result of people wanting to stop because they are intrigued by the product of the
project we created. When decided where to implement this idea, we considered a
number of open spaces. However, we really wanted to choose a space that is
generally viewed as unappealing in order to put our ideas to the test. We were
determined to find a place where people must often pass through but never see a
reason to stop. Finally, we agreed on setting the project up on a muddy, woodchip
path that is a shortcut often used by music students to get from the Musical Art
